Has anyone else in the military heard of a new promotion by Busch Gardens & Sea World called "Here's to the Heroes Tribute"?

My DH got an email from someone in his squadron that said they were offering free tickets to the military member and up to 3 direct dependents. It said to go to the Busch Gardens page for more information, but there isn't anything on either the Busch Gardens page or the Sea World page.

We were trying to find out more as it is supposed to start March 1st and go thru Dec 31st. We are planning a trip in March and this would be perfect as we do have a free day and would plan on going to Sea World that day.

"Anheuser-Busch Cos. Inc. is opening the gates to its Busch Gardens and Sea World parks with complimentary admission for active duty military, active reservists, U.S. Coast Guard and up to three dependents. The program begins on Feb. 7 at parks including Busch Gardens Tampa and runs through Dec. 31.

Eligible participants are required to register online at herosalute.com or at the park's entrance place. Department of Defense photo identification is required. "

All you have to do is go to herosalute.com , register and print a copy and take it to park with you with a valid military ID. You can only use it one time at one park.

We participated in it 2 years ago at BG in virgina. They had a special counter set up just for military. Also used it 3 years ago a sea world in Fla (it just free for the member with a discount for family at that time) and they gave us all sorts of meal coupons and discounts.

It real is a great program that they have in place. Looking forward to using it at the end of the month in florida.

Thanks,
We went ahead and registered online and have the voucher to present when we go.

I wonder why they don't have anything on their webpages. I searched for Here's to the Heroes salute and found nothing. After I saw the webpage you told me about, that came up on a search.

We took advantage of the salute they had in 2001. We went to Busch Gardens then, because my sister was down with her family and they were military too. At that time, we were also able to get my brother in as well. After visiting Busch Gardens, we all visited family friends who live in Tampa.

The only person who has been to Sea World in Orlando is my daughter and she went in 8th grade. Now she is a senior and we all get to go.

We just signed up also - for Sea World, Orlando. I saw the information on the DIS Budget Board. I also noticed at the end of the registration process, there was information on getting a discount for some dining experiences at Sea World - character breakfast, Dining with Shamu, Luau.

Thanks for the tip. We haven't registered yet. Can't decide if we will have time to go this trip or if we should save it for BG Williamsburg.

Does it include the Sea World San Antonio park too?

Yes, I believe it is all Anheuser-Busch parks. If you go to herosalute.com to register, it asks you which park you are registering for.

Are there any other discounts for the additional family members that exceed 4?

I was able to find it just now. If you go to www.seaworld.com It is listed on the front page. All you do is click on Here's to the Heroes and it takes you to the special page. :earsboy:

We just got back from Sea World and I just wanted to say how wonderful it is of the Annheiser Bush company to do this for our military families. At every show we went to they had the military personnel and their families present stand up to be applauded and watching this seriously brought tears to my eyes. My husband about fell over in shock because he's never seen me teary eyed before either, but I can only imagine how much this might mean to military families. Wherever we went if someone was a military member they were given special treatment and I thought it was wonderful of Sea World to do this. Like at a restaurant a family was seated immediately and was able to bypass the 45 minute wait, and I thought it was wonderful even though we were some of the saps waiting the 45 minutes. ;) Basically though they really do a great job I think. :)
