I am arriving at POR on May 7th in the evening, have a ressie for rainforest cafe at 8, so figured we would take the boat over to DTD, eat and do some shopping. Then on the 8th I have to go to the contemporary resort and buy my stars & Stripes passes, then thought of going to BB (since TL is open the same day) and do the water park, then go to disney quest and spend the rest of the day there. On may 9th, I was planning on doing Epcot because we have a ressie there for the storybook princess breakfast. may 10th, MK, because its the only night they have fireworks. Then on the 11th and 12th I would do either AK or MGM, dont think it matters which day we do those. Then on May 13th thought we would hang out at DTD or disneyquest and we leave the hotel to get to the airport at 2 pm. Since AK is only open til 5 I figured after that closes we could go over to MK and spend more time there.

What do you all think of my plan? Can it be improved on? what about early entry and E-ride nights.. can anyone tell me when those are and does e-ride nights cost more?

I will probably wait to get to WDW before I decide to make more ressies for dinner at other places. This is my dads first trip to disney and I would like to eat at the prime time 50's cafe and the crystal palace. I think my dad would like those. I have never been to prime time 50's but the theme looks really cool. I think my kids would like it.
thanks

I think your plan sounds great. One of my parents favorite places that they enjoying eating when they went with us was the Liberty Tree Tavern for dinner. You might want to consider that for a place to eat at too. Have fun!

since I posted this I have added on another ressie. I now have a ressie for may 11th for the flower and garden mothers day brunch. That should be nice. I cant wait.....

50's Prime Time is a lot of fun. Hope your family has a sense of humor though. PTC is very interactive and some shy away because of it.

Oh Yes, we all have a sense of humor. My kids thought it would be funny if someone came up and yelled at their grandpa to keep his elbows off the table, or to finish his veggies. I cant wait to get there. this is my dads first time to disney and I know he will have alot of fun. Actually, this is my dads first vacation that didnt involve traveling across country to visit family. Its about time I get him out somewhere and doing something fun.

Your plan looks great!! Don't forget to schedule a mid-day break, if you think you (or your dad ;)) will need it. It may be very hot while you are there.:smooth:

Enjoy 50's PTC- DH and I took my parents there a few years ago and they had a ball!!!

Also, you might want to try Chef Mickeys. I'm not sure how old your kids are, but IMHO, I think Chef Mickey's is a great buffet.

Have a great time!!!

We did GF and the Cinderella Dinner the night we arrived. The kdis loved the characters and the food was a great selection for adults (everything from Pasta, Prime Rib and Seafood). Then we went out to the beach and saw the Water Pageant (and a peek at MK). It felt like we had been in the magic for days by the time we went to our hotel that night!
