Hi, alll... We'll be in Orlando over the days listed in title line. Me, my girlfriend, her daughter (10), and my two daughters (11, 15). We'll be at POR for our entire stay. We will really have 6 full days down there and 2 travel days. Here's a rough plan (sorry if this isn't PC for posting here, but there's a couple non-Disney days in our plan).

Tue. 3/29 -- Plane arrives at 2:30 pm. Once we get settled in the hotel, I thought we'd take the boat ride to Downtown Disney and maybe catch a bus over to the Boardwalk and walk around that area in the evening.

Wed. 3/30 -- IOA
Thu. 3/31 -- Epcot
Fri. 4/1 -- MK, I'm hoping (maybe wishful thinking), that many people who have been around for that week after Easter might be flying back home on Friday, so maybe this will be a good day for MK???

Sat. 4/2 -- USF
Sun/Mon -- These are kind of wait an see days. If we feel like we didn't get to see as much as we wanted to see at MK or Epcot, we might decide to go back to those parks these day. OR we might feel like just hanging out around the resort, letting the kids swim and just taking it easy one of these days. If we don't revisit MK and/or Epcot, we might try to do MGM.

Any opinions about that plan--good, bad, ugly?

:earsboy: WELCOME to the DIS webswing!!! :earsboy:

OMG...you're not spending ALL your time at WDW?!?!? :earseek: I'm just kidding!!! :earboy2: Universal/IOA are great parks too and it's perfectly PC to have them in your itinerary here! :)

You might want to try out MGM especially if your kids like thrill rides. Two of the best in Florida are in MGM.Tower of Terror and Rock N Roller Coaster. My 2 boys looooooove Star Tours at MGM too.The Great Movie Ride is a favorite and it's like nothing else I've ever seen, not a "thrill ride" unless you enjoy good movies like my family does. There are some pretty great shows there too...Indiana Jones, Beauty and the Beast and Fantasmic.

Speaking of UNI/IOA ...I don't know if you like Jimmy Buffet but Margaritaville is our favorite restaurant at CityWalk. The porch is a fantastic place to unwind after a day in the parks! :fish:

I think having one day to just hang out is a good idea. After all it's vacation, you should take it easy a little bit. :sunny: Winter/Summerland miniture golf is fun for a slower paced time.

Hope y'all have a magical trip!!! ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo

It is OK with some caveats:

1. If plane arrives at 2:30, you won't be settled into your room until about 4:30. You might think of even trying a park since MK is likely to be open until 11 or later and MGM until 10:30.

2. Fri, 4/1: MK will still be extremely crowded; what you mention does not occur.

3. IOA and USF: the only really good time to beat the crowds is get there first thing when it opens in the morning; after 11 those are packed to the gills.

4. 4/3, 4/4: those will be your much less crowded days at the parks because Easter crowd usually clears out by Sunday.

I used the onofficial guide to the world and was at Universal when the gates first opened. I was able to stay ahead of the crowded by following the map in the back. did all the major rides by noon and was able to sit back and relax and to enjoy the shows in the afternoon.

I dont think you will need a whole day to do epcot.
