Just got done reading a post about someone who had alot of issues on their last trip and wrote Disney about it. More power to them, I think its great to let them know if you've had bad experiences. But often times, we as people forget to compliment the good. So here is my compliment to Disney.

"Disney, I thank you for training your staff to treat guests of all ages as equals. Last month my girlfriend ( age 23 ) and myself ( age 27 ) took a vacation to Disneyworld. During our stay there my girlfriend saw a bunch of little girls walking around with tiaras on. She mentioned numerous times she wanted to get one and eventually found one for purchase. It was her first time in Disneyworld and she just wanted to walk around as a princess for her week there. Lo and behold we were both pleasantly shocked to see that numerous cast members each day would refer to her as princess and me as her prince, just because she was wearing this tiara. I just want to say that I think its wonderful that she was not neglected by your cast members just because of her age. Unfortunately, her tiara broke on our last day, but you are guaranteed another sale on one when we get down there in 2007 because of the way we were treated. Thank you!"

Now I haven't actually sent this out yet and would love to know of an email that I could send it too. If anyone else has any positive stories, please post them here for all to read.

I have to say we encountered very few negative CM's and had only a few minor bumps in the road.
THANK YOU for posting the positive. I think people forget that even though we are vacationing in WDW, real life is still happening all around us and yeah, stuff happens.
I think the most positive experience my son had was with Greg at Star Tours. He made Ryan an honorary Jedi and boy, that was the highlight of my son's trip!
Glad to hear you 2 had such a great time. Even though my son is not into anything frilly, I think he really enjoyed when he was called "prince" too! It's all about make-believe and having a good time! :goodvibes

I'm sure someone on these boards has an e-mail address you can send your letter with. I think it's great that you want to reinforce what they're doing right. I've never really had a bad experience and I'm thankful. I'm sure some vacationers have had rotten things happen on their trips that really need to be addressed by Disney, but I'm a little weary of those that think WDW property or staff is immune to any mishap or mistake. I find myself just happy to be there and if there is a problem I see to it that it's dealt with right away and I don't hold a grudge. I'm also glad your girlfriend had a wonderful first trip! I hope you have many more.

Everytime we go to DW we send them a letter complimenting them and their staff. We have had experiences that weren't great, but mostly with other guests. If you give the CMs a smile and a wave when you see them, you would be amazed at how far that will go. We went in July of this year and nearly every ride we got on we were chosen to take the little time necklace for the CMs. I'm sure this was attributing to the fact that we said "Hi" and looked them in the eye and smiled when we saw them. It doesn't take a lot to have a positive experience, only positive expectations!

That's a great idea! I know from experience that getting one "thank you" note amongst a sea of "why we hate you" letters can mean the world to someone. I always try to get employee names so that I can thank them personally in any letters i write. On our WDW trip in May, we had a wonderful time. Absolutely not one complaint (at least not about WDW itself or CM's but some guests leave something to be desired). When I come back from my December trip, I'm going to write a letter to WDW telling them what a great time I had. And yes, I know I will have a great time. :sunny:

I made special thank-you cards for our upcoming trip! I can't wait to give them out! I believe in positive behavior.....and thanking people who did the right thing, and forgetting about the people who acted badly makes my life and those around me shine with smiles! Yes, if I had a very bad experience, I would let Mickey & Friends know about it, but I prefer to also make sure that they know about all of the excellent Cast Members they have on staff! I plan on handing out the thank you cards to the Cast Member, and also getting a name and notating where they were...so that I can then write a complimentary letter to Disney about those CM's who did a great job! (I'm talking...smiling, saying Hi, how's your day going)....those are the small things that people tend to take for granted at WDW....those CM's, I'm sure, have had their share of rude and obnoxious guests, but they still smile and welcome every guest!

9 nights to go and then the magic starts!!!!!

I must admit that I too wrote a letter outlining a few problems encountered on a visit to WDW. I received a very nice phone call from a Disney representative thanking me for taking the time to let them know what had happened. She was great to talk to and I was thrilled that my concerns had been addressed personally. I then wrote another letter regarding a subsequent FABULOUS trip and all the things that were amazing and improved. The same representative called AGAIN to thank me for the positive input and actually referenced my previous letter and was glad that things had been better on our second trip. Needless to say, I was stunned. No freebies involved - none necessary. Just an acknowledgement that I cared enough to give a pat on the back to several CM's and not just negative feedback. WDW will always my choice for memorable vacations!
