After meeting the princesses we decided to get a late lunch. I feel like it was almost 2 pm by this point. We went to Columbia Harbor House, and since we had one meal credit left, I used it on the very expensive lobster roll. DH got chicken tenders. Both were pretty good. We ate our meal upstairs, which was practically empty and much quieter than downstairs. And it was really fun to get to people watch out the windows. We relaxed there for a bit, looking over our pictures from the vacation before heading back out.
After lunch we walked down to Main Street to try to catch the Dapper Dans. It was close to parade time, so we werent sure if wed miss them or not. Luckily we just caught their last couple of songs! I love the Dapper Dans, they are so much fun.
Since we had a good spot, we decided to stick around for the parade. Its not something I would have sought out, but now Im glad we saw it. It was a lot of fun seeing all of the characters, plus it was about to be retired! I am dying to see the Festival of Fantasy parade, it looks amazing.
Once the parade passed we walked over to Frontierland because DH wanted to do the shooting gallery. I tried a couple of shots but of course I was terrible, so I gave my remaining shots to him. He was great at it! He hit everything on the first try.
We thought about hitting Big Thunder Mountain, but it seemed like everyone in the park had followed the parade over and was trying to get on that and Splash, so we decided to do the Country Bears Jamboree instead. I havent seen the Country Bears since I was a little kid, but I had fond memories of it. Watching it as an adult, I cannot believe that show is still going! The lyrics are hilarious but definitely not kid appropriate. I had no memory of the lyrics though, just that it was fun, so I guess kids just filter that right out. DH seemed to enjoy it as well.
Side note: Did anyone notice that the walls around the Seven Dwarfs (I HATE that they are using Dwarfs (no apostrophe!) and not Dwarves') Mine Train were themed to the land/ride they were facing? I didn't notice it at first but when I did I thought it was so cute and such a nice touch.
The sneak peek one
Winnie the Pooh
The Beast & Lumiere
Dumbo's feather
Painting the roses red (Alice & Wonderland)
After the show there was still a huge wait for BTMR so we took a stroll over to Gastons to get a cinnamon roll. I was really just stalling at that point. I didnt want to leave, ever! The cinnamon roll was seriously huge, but also super light, so it wasnt a burden to finish at all! Then we walked around Storybook Circus one last time, and then Tomorrowland. We just looked in the shops and took in the atmosphere, taking our time. Then it really was time to go. There was nothing left we felt like we needed to do, and it was just starting to get dark. We walked back down to Main Street, verrrry sloooowly. The lights on the buildings came on just before we walked out, a sweet moment.
We headed out to the Ferry and only had to wait a few minutes for one to arrive. I think the Ferry is the best way to leave Magic Kingdom. A nice slow goodbye. Until next time!
This is it! My last installment. Thanks for reading along everyone! I enjoyed recapping our trip so much. I have a long time to wait before we take another Disney trip (we will probably wait until the nugget that is currently cooking is at LEAST three years old, and another one could be cooking by then so who knows how long it might really be) but I will be here reading your TRs and keeping up-to-date on the Disney news! Take lots of trips for me! xoxo
