In January '06, My family went to Disney. Daughter, 6, Son, 5 and my lovely wife, ?. I originally went to run the 5K that was through EPCOT. We stayed at the Beach Club.
(Needless to say, I fell back in love with everything Disney. It brought me back to my original trip in 1976, when we stayed at the Poly.The run through EPCOT reminded me of my second trip oin '82. Poly again!)
During the trip in '06, I joined the DVC on the spot. Seriously, folks, how could I turn down Disney for life? Well, after the 5K, my wife and I put the kids in the babysitting service at the Beach Club and walked over to The Flying Fish, where I vowed to run the 1/2 Marathon in '07. It has become our favorite at Disney. We also took the kids to the Hoop De Doo, Cindarella's Castle for breakfast, and the princess Breakfast in Norway. The kids couldn't get on all the rides , but most of them. Soarin' is our favorite.
In '07, I ran the Half Marathon!
We stayed at the Boardwalk Villas. It was awesome!
This year we are back at the Beach Club Villas and I'm running the 5K through Animal Kingdom. We have our Flying Fish reservation ready to go, as well as one at the Spirit of Aloha Show. Also, I booked a WISHES cruise!
Its on January 11, 2008. Wishes starts at 8:00pm, so we are going stright from the Dinner Show to the Marina. This is a surprise for the kids, but of course with a $275 price tag, I had to let the wife in on it!!
If anyone wants to join us, we have room for six, by the way!
Anyway, I hope anyone who is going in January , or at anytime has a safe and enjoyable trip!
