Here we go again-TGIF

Good morning boys and girls. It's Friday again. Some of you spoiled ones get to have the weekend off. So today is a really good day today.
And then us hard working people have another day to work.

It is payday though. That's always a good thing.

I got a little bit of a surprise this morning. I opened up a phone bill. It's my daughter's phone. It was almost $300. For a second I thought I had forgotten to pay it last month. Nope, she was yakking, $300 worth. I'm going to have a little chat with my daughter. Either she pays the bills or she keeps quiet.
She has guard duty this weekend, so I'll show it to her when I see her.

My doggie is happy this morning. She went for a ride. It was only to the next block, but she doesn't care, she was in the car.

It's damp here this morning, but the weather men say it will be up in the 80's. They also said today may be the last chance all summer to get up to the 90's. Oh boy. I don't remember a summer than never got that hot. Anybody skeered for the winter?

I work at a college and it's opening week of fall semester. The most horrible week of the year--followed closely by next week as the second most horrible week of the year! It seems like I've done two weeks worth of work this week and I'm SO happy I have the weekend off.

Cloudy here right now - supposed to get quite humid today, tomorrow and Sunday, with a chance of thunderstorms each day.. I too was thinking that it really hasn't been very hot this summer - or at least on the weekends (the only time I really notice the weather..LOL)..

Have you ever seen that cell phone commercial where the Dad drops the cell phone bill on the table in front of his daughter (it's the size of a large city telephone book) and the leaf of the table breaks? Made me think of that when you mentioned the $300 bill..

Yup - Friday is pay day for most folks and that makes it a GREAT day, doesn't it?

Next birthday give your DD a new cell phone that has lots of minutes, including long distance, and have her pay it each month!

DH got me a new NExtel for my birthday. I am still getting used to all the settings (quite different from my AT&T phone), but it has a lot of features that one didn't have.

When we went to college freshman year, I had no concept of phone bills. My BF and I went to different colleges, different countries. My phone bill was $800 as was his that first month. The problem was, I didnt get the bill until halfway through the second month


Good Luck with the phone situation. I know it was hard for us to find a solution.

Serena, I took our dog for a ride today too. She loves to go with DD & me to take & pick up DS from school. She's big & hairy, the other cars always laugh when we pass by - all they see is a big hairy mess & a big pink tongue flapping in the wind (it's one of those long tongues that goes out the side of her mouth and hits her ear) - sorry OT .

good morning everyone!! It looks a little overcast this morning. I hope it gets a little sunny today, but just not the stuffy its been the last several days. I so feel your pain with the phone bill. DS had the upgrade his minutes one month when he got his. I forget how much it was, but it was a nice hefty amount. Text messaging is what killed him. He would have all this garbage sent to him, weather updates, sports updates...... He was in Texas, why did he need an Indiana weather update????
