Geez, our plight was nothing compared to the Japanese situation. It took us longer by about an hour to get home, but I've been glued to the TV with the footage. I can't even believe what they are going through and what the death toll will be when they finally start to get in there, so sad!

So, PIO how does Japan time compare with OZ time? The disaster happened around 2PM their time and that was 9PMish our time, I'm guessing it was 4PMish your time, but curious if I'm correct.

Going to bed and will keep monitoring the situation when I get up, all the people who are suffering hardship, the whole TDL and TDS situation is heavy on our hearts for those who were there, but also because we are planning on a visit...not to mention all the places that are in Tsunami's way...wow, scary!

Yeah, it was around 4'ish Melbourne time. Well done in getting the time zone right!

It was after 5 when I found out...and it was just breaking on CNN then. The office I work in has TV turned on to CNN in the coffee/kitchen area.

So, we all crowded in as soon as the word went round.

I heard them say that Sendai is a town of about 1 million residents. When you see that wall of water and the buildings being tossed about like that, you really gotta wonder how bad it's going to be.

We got another 20 pages to go, and with just the two of us limping along I don't see anything happening soon!

Hey I got Fran to read the Cliff's Notes of my PTR today! She didn't read any of the commentary but clicked on all the links that I put in my first page about the updates I made...

We even booked our DME and hired cars for all our upcoming trips today! Yay!

How is your day going? We dug out one bedroom completely and are now filling it back up from the other.

I'm doing okay. We went out last night and I'm pretty tired this morning. Are you still digging or are you able to surface from time to time?

I almost done for the day. We just filled up the back of the Expedition with boxes that we are taking over to her father's house. He has a motor home garage that we have been filling up with all the boxes we have been making these past couple weeks. After we unload the boxes, I take the cleaning lady home. We should be on target for the doorway to be installed the week of March 28. We're also getting a stackable washer and dryer where our coat closet is right now. We're going to turn the bedroom with the new door into a walk-in closet.

Yep, I had to work and am now home in bed, working on an application, and planning to head to bed when it's done.

Good luck with the application! We're trying to watch Gentlemen prefer Blondes, but the stupid DVD player keeps screwing up! :angry:

Well, that's annoying I'm watching an episode of SVU and am gonna go to bed after. The application's done, and it let me submit it for several positions within the company at different stores, so we'll see if I get a call. I hope so.
