No, this is different. We had a Norovirus going around our facility, and I caught it last week. I left work early Saturday, called in Sunday, and then went to work Wednesday, but was showing symptoms Wednesday night, so I didn't go Thursday.

That sounds icky, but it sounds like now you're in a catch 22!

Pretty much, yes. But I have another interview on Monday morning that I'm pretty much guaranteed to get, so I think I'm okay. I'm going to run by the facility tomorrow and pick up my things from my locker and leave my keys and ID card in the main office.

I'm leaving because they'll fire me without a doctor's note explaining that I was, in fact, sick, and I don't have the money for a doctor visit.

....well THAT stinks of rotten fish! Isn't it obvious that you had gotten sick, especially with others getting the same thing? And, what kind of job doesn't allow sick days??

Yeah... The one I'm interviewing for on Monday is for a unit secretary at a hospital, but they're also looking for CNAs, so even if I'm not qualified for the one I applied for, the lady I spoke to said she was sure they could hire me as a CNA.

I don't know yet, but I hope not. I looked at the benefits online and they're pretty good.
