I think so, but you have to be a member to shop there and I don't see the point in buying a membership just yet.

I don't know how much it costs in the US. Membership is $55 in Oz.

We figured that if we went once a month and saved at least $5 on groceries per month/shop, we would have justified our membership.

I easily save $5 and more by buying parmesan cheese. My son loves eating parmesan cheese, with a bit of pasta on the side.
If I buy it from the market or the supermarket, I'm paying about $40 per kilo (2.2 lbs). It's $27 per kilo at Costco. We normally buy it in the pre-packaged blocks of at least 3/4 - 1 kilo.

Some things are significantly cheaper at Costco because they are sold in bulk. And if you eat that amount, then it's fine. If you don't eat that amount, then it may not be worthwhile to join.

I've tried talking my parents into getting a membership, but they're not interested, and I can't exactly go to a warehouse club and shop without a car to take everything home

I actually do have 3 sleeps. I have to get some sleep when I get home (I'm just going to take a nap for a few hours), then sleep tonight, and then Thursday night. So maybe 2.5 sleeps?

Dana you leave at about 6AM on Friday morning and arrive in Orlando at about 4PM (after you jaunt all over the place in a zig zag of flights) right?

Sharon, I have no idea when you leave is this where you leave on Saturday and arrive Saturday earlier than when you left? I know you get to SF and walk around for a couple of hours....and I think you get to Orlando around 11PM so you must leave SF at around 2-3PM which means you arrive around 10 or 11 AM, but I have no idea when you would depart Sydney. I know you said something about Dana being in Florida before you left Melbourne.

I'm leaving on a midday flight from Melbourne on Saturday. I'll arrive in San Francisco at 11 am local time. SF flight to Orlando is about 1 pm.; and we get in at 9 pm. By the time we take ME, I expect we'll see the hotel room shortly after 11 pm.

I figure Dana will well and truly be in Orlando by the time I'm flying out of MEL as this would be around 4 pm?
