Hi Alison! How was band practise?

I'm heading out to my mother's for dinner tonight. :lovestruc

What are you snacking on?

We had a very small turnout, I'm sure it was because of the rain today. We have a concert with only one rehearsal left....it's pretty scary, we need more time.

I'm going to have these yummy raviolis from Costco, spinach and ricotta filled, with a drizzle of olive oil and shaves of Parmesan. I'll post in the Boo to Us, it actually all fits into my plan for the day, what doesn't fit is the piece of birthday cake that I ate at rehearsal on the break. I did take the smallest possible piece, but still....

Sounds great.

So what else do you buy from Costco? We pretty much stick to basics; but I'm thinking that some of their packaged food make for a good standby....

We always get our butter from Costco in 4 lb increments....

We usually just visit the "buffet" and figure out what we like from what they are offering. I doubt that you would have these Raviolis as the brand name is "Monterey", but they are quite good. They have several flavors, and I don't remember the others, but I really like the spinach and ricotta. I usually have them with some shaved parmesan and a drizzle of olive oil and cracked black pepper. This makes them not so bad on the caloric scale.

Normally I'd like them with alfredo sauce which would kill anything healthy! But that's how they served them on the Costco buffet and they were real good. The orange chicken we had the other night was pretty good, but we only ate 1/4 of the package. There are lots of good Costco things, but they are all so big, and they are constantly changing. I do like the chicken lettuce wraps, but I have no idea if you have the same things down under that we have here.

I'll have to check it out the next time I'm in Costco.....which won't be till November now.

LAST!
