I'm thinking of heading out to the shops to get some of those pesky travel sized toiletry items for next week.

I'm going to the grocery store after the show we're watching is over. I was thinking about seeing what fish they had and going for what looked good or was on sale.

Any suggestions?
 
Where is everyone? If it matters, I decided on crab cakes for dinner...
 
I'm here....went to the mall and came back. I was going to suggest fish parcels asian style - maybe next time. Crab cakes sounds great.

I'm checking out Ms Shuttergirl's TR in the Aussie section. She went to NYC and WDW and was posting live updates of each day. She's just unpacked her photos and put some up to "tide us over".

Going back there ... but I'll be around for LAST!

I'm guessing you mean fish cooked in parchement or foil....I have done that quite a bit, that is very good and easy. Actually Halibut was on sale for $5.99 a lb which is outrageous! but they were all sold out. They told me that tomorrow they would have more because is was still on the pallet that they didn't unload since last night, but I'm thinking I really don't want Halibut from Friday on Sunday....I will go to another store on Monday and hopefully get some that was delivered that day.
 
Yes...on foil. I like putting a slice of ginger down, carrots, spinach and celery and then the fish on top. I then put two or three drops of sesame oil and a small drizzle of soya sauce. Wrap up the parcel and cook in the oven for about 15 minutes.

How do you do yours?

Maybe you can get some fresh on Monday....
 
I fell asleep at 7:30 :eek: I woke up about half an hour ago and am starving. I really hate how screwy my sleep schedule gets on my days off :headache: I'm going to make something to eat, since I'm starving. Not sure what I'll make, though.

No, I just haven't been sleeping well during the day, so my sleep schedule got screwed up again. Bleh. Sleep well! :)

I do them in a variety of ways, you can put a different international twist for an asian style I usually do mushrooms, onions/green onions, maybe bean sprouts, baby bok choy or zucchini, drizzle with similar sauces, sesame, soy sauce, maybe a dash of sambal olek. I also do it with an italian flavor, some zucchini, tomatoes, garlic, mushrooms again (I like them), maybe some green pepper, and a little basil and olive oil. Recently (Monday I think) I made pork chops from a Paula Deen recipe that I saw her make. Pork Chops, with a few slices of green pepper, pineapple slices (that's why I HAD to use up the rest on that upside down cake), teriyaki sauce and a dab of butter. Next time Fran wants me to mix the teriyaki & butter with a little brown sugar. I served it with rice and it was really good!
