I am at the world right now sept 21st, staying in a pirate room at cbr, and have a couple of observations.

RFID is everywhere, more than you think, we are not wristband users, I would say 30-35 percent are. We have had to use RFID to get in the parks, to pay for our dining plan ( which also require a pin), and even to get in our room.
As a word of caution, the RFID sensor on your room door is not hard wired, it runs on battery, and if it dies it locks you out of your room.

2. Rapid fill mugs are not causing stress, that I have seen. I was able to get a mug and a half worth of come zero out before it shut off, didn't get to test cycle time, yet.

Crowds are very light, we have walked onto everything we wanted to ride.

We have a fridge in our room, not working, with a note on it, but it is off, we had house keeping come check it this afternoon( not sure if that means they are worried we are using them, or if we are getting one soon)

Forgot to mention, we went to visit A of A, and the main pool has a RFID door lock to get in

We are here too, non magic band users and I second what the Howells said. I was concerned that with so many FP+ testers, the stand by lines would be screwy or fast passes would be limited, but that has not been the case.

In addition, one nice thing is that when "paying" for a TS meal on DDP, the server has a handheld device that you touch with your card, enter your pin and then they go and get your receipt to sign. It makes it much smoother than when they used to bring a receipt, take your KTTW card, come back etc. just seems like a faster process.

Paying in the stores is easier, getting in the park is easier. Surprised that they haven't figured out a way to link your photopass and photopass + cards to your KTTW or magic band yet.

That's weird, had seen reports that they are starting to link PP on the MB now. Has this not been what you have seen?

Around 10 minutes ago I was at Fairytale Hall with Cinderella and noticed the Photopass Photographer tap that little device he has against someone's wristband to load their photo's. Ive been here 3 weeks and tonights the first time ive noticed it.

We haven't used photo pass yet so I can't comment. Today is magic kingdom so I suspect, I'll get a more accurate breakdown of how things are working

We are still using KTTW cards, so no magic bands and photopass for us. That would be awesome if it worked out that way.

We went to Epcot for dinner tonight and for the first time in 5 September trips in a row, they were out of Soarin' fast passes. Maybe it was because it is Sunday, maybe due to FP+.... But it was a bit of a shocker for us at 3:45.!

Today, ugh pouring pouring rain, it started as sprinkles at about 1:00 by 2 until 7:15 just drenching could hard rain. We did manage breakfast with the disney jr gang, toy story mania, backlot, muppets, star tours, great movie ride, magic of animation then the rain started

So lets go back to yesterday's great day at mk. We had no plans to make rope drop, but only missed it by 4-5 minutes, my son was hungry so we thought we would try gaston's tavern, the cinnamon rolls were huge and fantastic, but very expensive. We bought 2 cinnamon rolls, 2 chocolate croissants, and 2 souvenir glasses of le fou's brew ( ugh who is this for?) way too sweet, and it cost us almost $50!!!!!

We then our first foray into new fantasyland, amazing theming, super well done, good traffic flow, we rode the little mermaid ride, it is very young but good, we then hit dumbo, splash pad , hoped the train to the front, buzz, c.o.p. people mover, monsters laugh floor, in about 35 minutes total, after that we got held up by the street parade , had Casey's for lunch, went over to haunted mansion, some shopping, small world, country bears, tiki room, pirates, poring rain so we made our way through the emporium to the monorail, and to ohana for supper, we did have to hang out at poly for about a hour, ( oh darn) ohana was awesome last night . Back to the hotel found out the dolphins had won their game, and some laundry.

Tomorrow was going to be a pool day and hddr for dinner, I guess we will play the pool by ear in the am
