Why not take the tap water on ice and pour it into a Brita filter bottle! That would be my plan

Receipts have total credits at bottom, but, servers (who are real people!) are punching in the info and that is what is important here. Not interested in starting the child/adult credit debate as my feeling is that honest adults know how they should be using the plan, but, at TS restaurants there is no way to "cheat" the system unless the server does so. At CS restaurants where my hubby has gone up to counter by himself, he's been told that he must order 1 meal off of children's menu - eg. Pinnochio Village Haus (terrible kids' menu, but we were hungry). Hubby rushed up to counter as DD was very hungry, didn't notice the kid's menu, so ordered 2 chicken finger meals and a sandwich. The CM immediately cancelled this once she saw my hubby's card (he immediately apologized for the error) as she said he had to order 1 child, and 2 adults, so, CMs are keeping on top of this.
Brygida said:How is that fair to be told you "must" order a kid's meal just because your card says so? If you have 2 adults and 1 child on your card, why should you order 3 meals every time you use it? You should be allowed to order only 2 adult meals if you wanted to. You must be wrong...
Tell me this is NOT what you meant.![]()
I have 3 different families in my room. At times we are going our separate ways. Why should I be forced to order 4 meals everywhere I go? That means we have to eat all our meals together! That can't be right!
Tiger926 said:OP here - The problem with my scenario was that my hubby accidentally ordered 3 adult meals when we can only order 2 adult meals at once - CM quickly remedied this by cancelling one and we ordered our 1 child meal for DD3.
Tiger926 said:Pretty much every CS place we've eaten at has NOT allowed bottled water as you have to use a snack credit for that. Even some CS places like Chefs de France (had a terrible meal there last night) won't let us order bottled water - tap water only.
CS places we've eaten are:
Pinnochio Village Haus, Studio Catering Company, Earl of Sandwich, comes to mind. I don't have my exact receipts in front of me now, so I can't give you anymore restaurant names at this time (DD is ready to go to the castle right now-LOL!) Not sure about Tusker House as I had a bottle of water with me. We have not been taking the fountain drinks in these cases, and I even offered to give up 2 fountain drinks for 1 juice (they'd be making money), but they all said no. Earl of Sandwich manager let us do it once as I explained we don't drink pop.
Some of these places have had a small juice box, but most are only allowing fountain drinks.

Thanks.

I need clarification on this...are you saying if my card says 2 A and 2 C I cannot use my 2 A credits and pay oop for the 2 kids? We are treating some guests (1 A , 2 c ...so no I'm not trying to use Child credits for Adults) to CRT which requires 2 TS credits to dinner for DD bday. I am trying to save up credits so that I can pay all on DP for this meal as I've heard it's all DP or all OOP for meals like this. I've played with my credits and I would have way too many extras if I paid this meal all OOP. These rules are getting so confusing. I guess I just don't want to make a big deal out of having to pay the bill when it's our treat for a BD celebration...so it's easiest for me just to bank credits. Hope this all makes sense.
I agree with you but that is what Disney is trying to avoid by the Non-Transferable part. They don't want you going to Universal and spending money. They want you to stay on-site to spend it. And if you have guests visiting you they want them to spend their money to eat. They are in the business of making money and they see treating others to meals from you plan as a money losing proposition.castleri said:first of all we are paying over $2000 for the DDP so it is not part of the "free dining" even though we will be there in that time frame since we are at DVC resort.
Our cards will say 5A 1C and if we go to US for a day there will be those credits sitting there waiting to be used as we plan to eat at Jungle Jims on the way back in the evening. We want to use the credits to treat the person (a relative who lives in the Orlando area) who is providing the free US tickets to dinner at Kona Cafe the next night so would have 7A 1C in the group. Maybe we will have to divide into two tables of 4 and 5 (we also have a 16mo who is not on the plan). We are not trying to use child credits for adults just trying to use the ones we won't use if we go off property for a day. Maybe I'll get flamed but I don't see why Disney should care if I use a total of 6 or all 60 credits in one day. In fact if I use DDP credits to treat someone else I may then have to pay additional OOP for meals that won't be covered later in the trip if I don't leave WDW during the trip and they will be ahead of the game.
