Day 1 con't:

Parking at the PBH is $23.00 daily and $15.00 overnight???? I will take a pic of the sign for everyone. The club level is great! Like I said easy check in and food and water, cokes, sprite, etc.
Universal Studios was also great. Some of the attractions are a little old...Jaws, Terminator, etc. but does anyone ever get tired of them..NO!
Lines were not too long, but since we are at the PBH, we got the express line. The ONLY ride we waited on was the Simpsons...and that was 5 min at most.
Our room is great...view of the lake (Bay) and close to the club level. We lost track of time and ordered room service for dinner (about 11:00 pm)....and YES, I know...room service??? Two burgers with drinks for, are you ready???$56.00...OUCH

Day 2:

I, noticed I, started the day at 7:00 am while the family was still asleep and went and started the other thread. We went to Universal again and made sure to do all the rides the kids wanted to do. We then went to the shops and bought gifts. It then looked like it was going to rain...AND it did, HARD...we ran all the way back to the PBH (boats don't run during storms). We were soaked and decided to go to the malls and shop (I came all the way to Florida for the malls???...LOL). Spent the rest of the day at Outlet stores and malls. Around dinner time went back to Universal and completed that park.
Again, tried to order room service, but went with Sal's pizza instead. $15.00 for 8 slices...wow is everything expensive here or what??? I did get a PIECE of birthday cake last night delivered to the room. Notice a piece not a cake...wonder what is up with that???/

Day 3:

sun is out and family is still in bed....typing to you all...I can't believe it...OH, and when someone says bring a laptop...BRING A LAPTOP....I will next time, for I can't download pics until I get home and the family is so interested in tennis, etc. People are giving me the evil eye for you only get 15 min. and there are only 2 in the club level here. Not sure what the day brings, but I will let everyone know.

Oh, did I have flashbacks with the HARD rain???YES....LOL....in fact had to use my skills at the park when a lady fell off the sidewalk curb. Turns out she twisted her ankle and fell. I waited with her until park people came to her aid. Dang, can I just be on vacation??????LOL

More to come...stay tuned....LOL

dave, talk to the manager about the parking fees.
i'm sure some of that can be waived.
the day parking has started up as the day guests visiting park guests are filling up the lots i assume. someone mentioned that to me prior.

you should only be charged the one fee, the parking fee for guest of the hotel

if people are giving you the evil eye.....

and want to rush you off your 15 minutes on the computer, ignore them.

you pay just as much as they do for the amenities you receive there.

take care, have fun......

Day 3 and like I said the sun is out, but the rest of the family is still in bed...When they finally wake up...we are heading to the parks...50% chance of rain. but what the heck....

So we eat breakfast at the club level (as usual) and then off to the boats. Something new they are offering:
Bike crenshaw (spelling)rides to the Universal Studios and they only ask for tip money. Well the DS wanted to take it, so off we did...poor guy four people in this crenshaw...he was huffing and puffing towards the end...$7.00 (yes I know, a lot, but it's only money, you think I am going to leave it to my kids?..LOL)

There is a crowd at the entrance (it's 9:30 am) and finally they start scanning tickets. Usually they are doing the scan AND finger print. We are to do the whole Universal Studios before lunch. The DW says it is nothing but a huge circle...Jimmy Newtron...no line for express...wait time is only the video inside..meanwhile people are outside giving us the evil eye (I know Mac, just give it back to them, right?) From Netron to Shrek...again there is only the video inside wait time...

more to come...need to keep people in suspense...the good is about to get better....LOL..stay tuned...

i totally agree................

i don't like the bike shaw type of rides.
they hog the sidewalk.

it is like a lawsuit ready to happen.....

I agree Mac, the bike transportation takes up too much room!

From Shrek to Jaws area and all the little kiddie games. Of course the DS wants to do all the games and try and win the (in my mind) stupid prizes. I was trying to convince him if for some odd reason he won, how were we to get that large stuffed animal on the plane (carry on luggage??..LOL)well of course he shoots a ball into the basket and I end up carry a large stuffed dog around the park.
We do Jaws (which I guess never gets old) and then onto the Dr. Suess area. No line for Cat in Hat and proceed onto ride (This is where it gets good)...So about a 1/4 into the ride it stops and the emergency lights come on. An anouncement to please stay in the vehicle, etc. Of course the family is going nuts and about to explode with fear...:lmao: After a couple of minutes, I decide it is time to find out what is going on. Since I did not put the lap bar all the way down, I slide out of the car and before my feet can touch the ground someone comes over the PA and says "please return to your car and keep your hands and feet inside". Curiosity kills me to find out how they know I am out...so I return to the car and look up and around and see that every passage that the cars go through are cameras. Of course you can imagine the laughter coming from the rest of my family...After about 5 min the ride starts up and we return to the exit.
Then onto one fish, two fish...If you listen to the music and try to follow along, IT DOESN'T MATTER....LOL...I told DS to follow the words to the music and try NOT to get us wet...he did and we still got very wet...:headache:

More to come...This trip report thing is hard to do...LOL

:goodvibes

you get to carry the stuffed animal around that day........

yup, cameras everywhere on that ride.
i love that ride. i always find something i missed before.

i go solo and always ask for a car by myself.
i end up saying the lines as i am in the car.

it gets on other people's nerves.
.......can't imagine why....:rolleyes1
