Hi all, I was going to do a trip report when I get home but thought I would just come on and do a few updates whilst Im here.
We are on day 3 of the Disney part of our trip and so much magic has already been sent our way! We were booked into POR for our 15 night stay, I know a lot of people love this resort but I have to be honest we just didn't. Dont get me wrong it was nice enough, but the room wasn't cleaned properly- crumbs on the floor and hair all in the bath, it didn't set us off to a great start.
We went and had lunch and decided we would go and ask if we could transfer to Coronado Springs which we know and love. I asked at the desk and the CM rang to check, unfortunately they had no availability, it was a long shot so I asked could they get mousekeeping in to do a once over on the room. She offered to check another resort for us but I said no, we were in disney and I was sure after settling in we would love it.
Anyways, she asked me to wait just one minute and disappeared into the back. When she came back she hit me with the biggest load of pixie dust ever....
She was moving us to the Grand Floridian for our entire stay!! I couldn't believe it, I was covered in goose bumps hugging this wonderful lady and crying in the middle of the lobby- I must have looked like a loon, lol.
This is honestly the nicest hotel I have ever stayed in and without that CM I doubt we would ever have got the chance. Everything here is perfect and we have watched wishes from the boat dock each night.
Having the monorail is brilliant, with two kids magic kingdom is the main park we hit so its just so convenient.
We are heading to dinner tonight at 1900 park fare- no buses needed just a stroll across the resort.
We have noticed that the parks are a lot more crowded than they have been at this time the last couple of years but we are still managing to fit a lot in utilizing fast passes and heading out for park opening.
