I was debating this myself last year!!

My DW and I saw these and saved to buy 2 sets, one for the home and one for the 5er, but they were so good we kept both at the house, they are solid and have an awesome shine. We got some others for the 5er at the Disney store outlet in Pigeon Forge, TN. What we do is find things we like and save up from one trip to the next to get it, you can go broke at WDW....

Sounds like nothing much going on at the Fort other then great people having a great time!! :thumbsup2

Yesterday we got our share of rain between 2 & 5 pm. Put on our rain pnchos and sat rocking at the tavern porch. Fun. Shopping, coaster and a spatula. Lots of looping. Then dinner of grilled buyers, relaxing and off to bed.

Today we are at the quiet pool. Oops I hear thunder. Narcoosees for anniversary dinner. Going swimming. Later.

Narcoosees for anniversary dinner.
We went to Narcosee for the first time when we were down in March. FANTASTIC dinner and we watched the MK fireworks from the windows. Enjoy and Happy Anniversary!

Sitting under cover at the quiet Pool. Better than being at work Thanks for the well wish for anniversary. Been to Narcoosees before. We like the view and boathouse setting.

There are tons of activities lined up for the holiday. Very impressed. Now if the weather would cooperate. We have had the golf cart deco'd for two days. She will look a bit damp by thur. Still feeling patriotic. :-D Have a great and safe time to all who are here. And of course all at home!

Oh ya, we love our set. Good quality, would or will by more later. The spoons are oddly small. Everything else normal size. :P

So Richard, they have held up well? I probably would buy these for the MH, but I have the start of a beautiful set from Norway. The set from Norway makes the Disney set look like a bargain :scared1: but once I get 4 more place settings, I can move my current flatware out to the RV. Maybe for Christmas......

Yes, they hold up very well, I love they keep the shine too, solid for sure. I would say to anyone who ask to get a set if you are looking for some good silverware. I am going to get another set for friends that just moved there with Publix as a surprise house warming gift and might get us another to have replacements just in case Disney decides to change them up, like they did with the dishes, we were going to get the Mickey in Italy dishes and got just 4 bowls and they stopped them and I can not find them anywhere. Hopes this help! :)

As soon as I get off work in the morning I will be heading there. Ill update my site as soon as I check in..

Once the rain stopped more pool Tim. Then looking. Picking out future sites to stay in.

Nice weather for the boat to Narcooses. Dinner was outstanding.
DH had lobster soup and halibut.
DW had ban shrimp with grits and scallops.

Everything cooked perfectly and seasoned with fresh herbs. DW would not normally eat grits. These grits must have been cooked in heaven. Delicious! No desert, we were stuffed!

After breakfast now Wednesday we are at the meadow pollinating sunshine. Golf cart parade at 9 am tomorrow. Registered at the bike barn yesterday. Going swimming now. Later.

Finally arrived! What a morning I had. Right before I left home to come my brakes went out on my truck and found my brake line had snapped !!! Had to unpack everything and switch vehicles... Ill deal with that head ache when I get home.

Jut finished setting up call at site 1512.

Just in time before an afternoon shower hit. Making sandwiches for lunch and relaxing drinking a beer.

There are a couple members of the Fort Friends forum a couple sites down. I'm not on there to often.

Not sure what the plan is for tonight but hopefully my day gets better, it's been a stressful start. I'm at the Fort so I'm positive it will be good

Bummer on the brake problems, mouse14.

I remember site 1512 from my visit in March 2012 (I was in 1521 the last site on the right headed out). I also stayed in 1513 on a Thanksgiving trip. But 1512 as I remember is long/deep. It's a big site so you should have plenty of room to spread out and relax.

But you are there and we're not. So your day is better than ours by that fact alone!

And crznut, a belated "Happy Anniversary" from me. :cool1:

Mouse14, glad you made it here!

The golf cart parade was lots of fun. The people watching on the sidelines were just as patriotic. Everyone played along. Great family time!

Afternoon by the meadow pool. One down pour! :)

Then of to the Grand Floridian. Cocktails and appitizer in the Mezner Lounge. Sp?
Dinner at Citrico's. What a treat. Shrimp appetizer & beef filets formain course. Medium rare. Cooked perfectly. About the best steak we have eaten. Stuffed, no desert. Fireworks pretty from the dock, but crowded. A nice time. Then off to the site and bed.

Today is Friday, our last full day. :[ Breakfast is over, relaxing and taking it slow. One little sprinkle. Maybe off to the quiet pool. Later.

We are here now too. Spent one night at the poly for the fourth and now on to our second leg of our vacation. We are in a cabin in the 2200 loop. I did see one cabin with a sign out front that said fort fiends. Never heard of that site before. It poured on us earlier this afternoon while we were at the poly so we are trying to dry out and settle in. We have no plans other than relax, relax and relax some more!! We do have ressies for hoop on Saturday night but other than that we will be swimming and relaxing the rest of the weekend :)

We just checked out of the Fort this morning. We were in 1300 loop and only had one person stop by who had seen my sign (thanks again Bama_ed)! Didn't see any other signs at all but quite a few Mickey lamp posts. We are now at VWL for the night before heading home.

That's probably the only loop I havnt gone in yet this trip . Hope you guys had fun, safe travels!

I will be checking out tomorrow morning

We were in site 1454. Nice shade, privacy & quiet. Overall a great trip. More rain than desired but it was worth the trip for the 4th of July activities. Hope everyone else enjoys their trips now or soon. Hope to be back in October. :cool1: Looking at new trailers on the net now. It's catching, be careful!
