Cool light rain today busy all weekend. Fire works are great went over to dca last night while everyone else was in disneyland. Rode soarin 3 times in a row no line at all did a lot over there . Tonight hitting fantasmic with paid seats. They added a third show last night . Lol is there an off peak space mountain fast passes go quick line has been 120 Min wait .

Tomorrow and Wednesday should be insanely empty. The last time it rained as much as it is expected to over the next two days - in mid-December 2008 - total turnstile count for the day was 4,000. To put it into perspective, the average slow day sees about 22,000.

Just wondering, where do you look to see expected crowd averages? And where do you go to look at total attendance for any past specific date? Would love to look at those!

Here's hoping that holds true! We will be there on Wed. thru Sat. We have our panchos and umbrellas packed and are hearty when it comes to a little precipitation. (It snowed this past weekend, Sat. 3" and Sun. 5") We are so ready!!!!:yay:

Where did you find these numbers? Disney does not publish turnstile counts so I would love to see a source that has them.

We were there during that rain last December. It was empty and absolutely AMAZING. I would take that pouring, freezing rain any time - it was our best Disney trip ever. My husband and daughter rode Space Mountain 17 times one day, just walked on over and over. I sat under the cover at Pizza Port, and could go a good 20 minutes without seeing a single person.

If you have the proper rain gear (my daughter and I had rain boots, my husband didn't, and we all had on coats with raincoats over them - we gave up on the umbrellas because of the wind) and just accept that you will be soaked, it can make for a fabulous time. We also have never seen as many characters as we did on those rainy days. We've had five trips in the past 18 months, and it was hands down the best. Very wet, but VERY fun.

Thank you for posting this!! Especially Christi-great perspective. We're getting ready to get in the car to drive to CA. I was bummed that it's supposed to rain tomorrow, but now I'm actually hoping it does! We've got ponchos and sweatshirts so we should be fine. Most of the rides we like best are inside. Only Dumbo and Pooh would need to be dry for us.

We're doing Thurs. and Fri. too, but since it's not supposed to rain those days I expect it to be more crowded. As long as I get to see fireworks and fantasmic at least once in the next 3 days I'll be happy!! :lovestruc

Have a blast. It does take a little while to accept that you are going to do it in the rain, but once you do, I think it can be a blast. My daughter was THRILLED with the amount of puddles she got to jump in to, in addition to walking on any and all rides, and characters galore (who seemed to take more time than usual with the guests). We are headed over on Sunday, and I have to admit I WISH it was going to be raining! One of the days, around 2pm the rain let up and it was the most beautiful day, but the crowds never really picked up - just an added bonus! I think it spoiled us - to be in the park when it's that empty was truly magical!
