E-A-G-L-E-S EAGLES! I did happen to catch the very end of last nights game and couldn't celebrate enough! I think Andy Reid just may have saved his job.
Anyway, back to the trip. Today was another hot one. We packed up our stuff at CBR and headed over to the Contemporary to check in. We're on the 10th floor, MK view. It's the best Christmas gift ever from my in-laws. We headed over to AK and headed for Dinoland. DS fell in love with the Triceritop Spin, so we rode that several times and the made our way to the Maharajah Trail. I had never done this before and I was pretty impressed. My son fell in love with the "big kitties" a.k.a the tigers. By this time it was getting very crowded and it was time to meet up with the in laws.
We went on Everest which had a HUGE line forming. Fast Passes were going like hot cakes and it was packed in that area. From there we headed to the safari and those lines seemed to move pretty well. I was most impressed with the safari. The animals were really out and it was the closest I had ever seen them. We even had a giraffe pass right in front of us! Our driver was really good and added a lot of info about the animals and spent less time on the cheesy story plot.
After this DS fell asleep and I sat in a shady spot while the rest of the family headed off for A Bug's Life which they said was very crowded. By this point we needed to head back to the hotel to move in to our room, so we didn't get to see Nemo or The Lion King today - we agreed to go back another day to get to those. I did notice when passing Nemo that the line there was incredibly long and people were lining up very early for the show.
After a delicious meal at O'Hana (this will always be one of my favorite restaurants) we once again headed over to MK in a foolish attempt to try and get on a few rides. Holy Moly! It was so packed that they were sending as many people through backlot areas as possible. I was run in to so many times you'd think we had been in the middle of bumper cars! We decided to ride the TTA twice and then Small World while Spectromagic was going.
We hauled it out of the parks for our first night of fireworks and viewed them from our hotel room. It was amazing! I never quite feel like I'm on a Disney vacation until I see the fireworks. I'm not sure where we're headed tomorrow except for the Candlelight Processional tomorrow night. I can't wait!
