Here now ....... Trip update

Been here almost a week now so thought I'd update ...... Sorry couple of negatives first ..... Just ate at Logan's on the 192 and it was awful, definitely the worst meal we've had since we've been here and probably for some time come to that, the steak was like chewing a piece of rubber (to be fair they credited my meal but won't be going back) and secondly Brazilian Tour Groups ..... We have NEVER experienced them in such volume at this time of the year ...... almost came to blows with three girls Q jumping yesterday!

Now on to the positives, villa amazing as usual, weather warm and humid most of the time, Discovery Cove never ever disappoints and stand out meal so far wednesday Lobster night at Miller Ale House on the 192 ....... 1 1/4 lb Lobster stuffed or steamed for $10.49 ..... Unbelievable value and incredible service.

Lazy day tomorrow then staying at Portofino Bay Hotel on Tuesday night.

Shame about Logans, firmly on our list of places to visit each trip, will be dining there again in the next week or so.

Sorry to hear about your bad meal at Logans on the 192. We are also here at the moment and ate at the new one down past the Formosa Gardens area. Excellent meal and value potato skins appetiser, teriyaki chicken for Dh and wood grilled salmon for me followed by New York cheesecake, Newcastle Brown Ale for DH for just over $25. Previously we have eaten at the other one on the 192 and also enjoyed excellent meals. Ale House, Bahama Breeze, Texas Roadhouse have also been outstanding. We've been extremely lucky with the tour groups as well and have managed to avoid them for the most part. We've even commented that we think there are fewer of them than usual and also that they seem to be managing them differently this year, often breaking them up into smaller groups meaning they don't cause major blocks all over the place. On our last week of 4 at the moment. Loving every minute! Enjoy Portofino Bay.

Don't normally make a fuss but definitely not good ... The one we went to was closest to the US27 ..... Not many cars in the car park either which should have been a sign

Thanks ..... Glad it wasn't just us, will give Texas Roadhouse a try, definitely going back to Miller Ale House and Mannys is on list too.

Yes ..... Great atmosphere, good service, excellent service and 5 bottles of beer in a bucket for $8.85!

It's not as good as usual but it's really not that bad, we've been by the pool all day and it's been scorching .... Yes, there's been the odd downpour but it really is that time of the year .. I call bad weather the week long tropical storm we had a few years ago, this is fine

Another who's had a poor meal at Logan's on 192 this year, but it's been good every other time I've been so will probably give it another chance. Also like Miller's Ale House at LBV and the other one on Orange Blossom Trail (such a lovely name for such a grim piece of highway!) close to the Florida Mall.

We have Aquatica tickets this year. Only been once before, a few years ago, any tips for where to sit? I like to sit whilst DH and DD go on the water slides
