Long time lurker, first time poster! Read so much great info on these boards, wanted to share some quick info from our trip in progress.
Background: Me (Christy) DH, DS (8), DD (7). 3rd trip to Disney since kids were born
Booked Labor Day special thru travel agent. Great deal. Requested balcony & Rarotonga (we are standard view) and that is exactly what we got. Can see monorail zipping thru between trees, which is fun.
Arrived Sat 8/21, after driving from DE. Arrived 1pm ish and room was ready. Very nice and spacious. DD has been using the Murphy bed and loves it. Kids wanted to hit the lava pool right away. Hard to find chairs, but we managed. Loved the waterslide and kids splash area.
Took the resort monorail around 4:30 over to MK--so quick. We did a ton!

Made a jungle cruise FP but kids were tired so we took resort launch back--left around 10:45.
Sunday 8/21--at bus stop by 8:15, waited less than 5 min for AK bus. We were not using FP, as we were saving them for HS in evening. Just got to see rope drop and followed the horde to Kilimanjaro safaris. DH panicked as the line was held briefly outside the entrance to the ride--it looked like a ton of people, but we were on in less than 10 mins. Great ride--saw tons of animals. We also:
Rode Kali Rapids (10 min wait)
Rode Everest (15 min wait)
Triceratops spin
Flights of wonder (1130 show)--loved this
Did a few pin trades and a few wilderness explorer stops
Left at 12:15 and were only ones on bus back to poly. No wait for the bus.
Spent downtime in room and at pool. Slightly easier to find chairs.
At bus stop to HS by 4:15, waited about 15 mins
Missed a pre scheduled little mermaid show FP
Toy story FP
Went to Star Wars launch bay--watched film and then traded with jawas
Did Star Tours FP
STar tours standby (15 min wait)
Picked up extra fastpass for Great Movie Ride
Also picked up fantasmic FP. Arrival window was 8:25-8:45. We went in at 8, got great seats in 3rd row of pochahontas section, and got dinner and ate while waiting. 2nd time seeing show, kids already asking if we can see it again.
Left with the masses after fantasmic. Waited maybe 15 mins for bus as we just missed a full one as we walked into bus line. One negative so far--the bus driver packed that bus in like I have never seen. Told people to stand on the stairs and crammed the aisle with 2 people shoulder to shoulder the whole aisle. It was an uncomfortable ride back, even sitting as people were pressed together in all directions.
Monday 8/22
We were at boat launch at 7:30--resort monorail not running until later. Less than 5 min wait for resort launch. Arrived at MK right at 7:45 as rope drop crowd was let in. Worked out as there was no wait for security. We hit tomorrow land:

DH rode space mountain again
Met ariel (waited less than 5 min)
Snacks at gaston's tavern
Philharmagic
Peter Pan FP
MIne train FP
JUngle cruise FP (changed on the spot as kids did not want to ride splash mountain)

Extra FP For Haunted mansion
Could have easily made more FP, but kids were tired. Made a FP for Test track tonight at 8. Ordered in room twilight feast for DH birthday tonight before we go to pArk--supposed to be delivered between 5-5:30.
All in all, having a great time. Have met many friendly CM's pin trading with kids. Crowds and heat have both been manageable.
