Here now. Please help. Have you seen this hat?

Today my younger son (age 5) lost his beloved Goofy pirate ears. We got them last year, and it is not an exaggeration to say that he's worn them every day since. We arrived yesterday and today was our first MK day. In all the excitement he took them off somewhere and didn't realize it until we were about to go on PotC. We backtracked and asked at all the attractions we'd been on, but no luck. We haven't had any luck finding a replacement hat either.

Has anyone seen these hats for sale anywhere recently? He's learned an important lesson about keeping track of your things but is pretty heartbroken.

Aw. Poor little guy. Have you checked the shop that comes off the POTC or the one across the street from it?

I'd check shop at end of POTC, Around new jack sparrow attraction in DHS or ask for help from someone going on a disney cruise.

Check lost and found at the end of the day. On our last trip, we lost the autograph book on Star Tours. Sure enough, we checked lost and found at the end of the day, and someone turned it in.

Don't give up looking for them. My BF lost his Oakley sunglasses in Animal Kingdom and we picked them up the next morning at lost and found at the Transportation and Ticket Center.

Call 407-824-4245. Their hours are 9 am to 7 pm. I was on hold for a long time, but it was totally worth it. I think there's only a couple people that answer the phones.

Thanks for the tips everyone. I tried the shop at Pirates of the Caribbean first, but no luck. They said they hadn't carry them in a while. I will definitely try seen Park lost and found tomorrow. Here's hoping!

We did get a voucher for a free set of pirate ears from a very nice cast member, but we weren't able to find them to purchase anywhere. Sounds like the Lost and Found will be our best bet.

Good luck and don't give up hope. In 2006 my son lost his hat and we didn't notice for a couple of days. We called around and asked at lost & found. No luck but a couple of weeks after we got home a package from Disney showed up at the house with his hat in it. I was shocked to say the least that no only did they make the effort to track it down but then to ship it to us. All for a baseball hat that was a couple of years old.

Be sure you check the park lost and found (up at City Hall in MK) before you leave today. I was told that each park transfers its lost items to the lost and found at Transportation and Ticket Center every day, so you may be able to catch it before it goes there. Hoping you find your son's beloved hat!

If it was left on a ride, they likely won't have it until the next morning, after they've done their closing clean up.

I left my new hat on BTMR a $25 splurge houndstooth with Mickey jewels. I realized only 5 minutes after I got off. Ran back, they checked trains, no luck, checked back in an hour, nothing in lost and found at ride. Checked back again 2 hours later and there it was!

Don't give up!

If you can't find it, I remember seeing those hats at the Poly gift shop on the 2nd floor. Not sure if they still have them - but they did at one point!

DD's ears were taken (along with our rain cover) at some point on our last family trip. I called lost and found every day.

Two weeks after we got back, lost and found told me that they showed up.

You never know what can happen.

Reiterating this. I was told the same thing when my debit card was lost back in '09 between Epcot and ToT. As far as I was concerned, my card was cancelled and lost to the Twilight Zone but I'll keep my fingers crossed for your son's hat! OH! And on the same trip, my friend hunted down a pair of princess pirate ears and we had to go to the Contemporary gift shop to find them, so maybe try the resorts?

If you don't find them pm me. I have some of these at home with the tags still on them. I can look for them and send you a pair. I know how it feels to loose your fave ears. Luckily ours were found when that happened but it took a few days

Our first family trip isn't until this coming April but I have to say I've been reading DIS boards for the past five months to do my homework! What an amazing group of people you all are to offer suggestions and even offering the hat that you have in a few cases! Merry Christmas to all! p/s: I will say a special prayer tonight that his beloved hat is found.
