Hey all! It's 11:15, and I'm lying on a Heavenly bed relaxing at the Dolphin.

I should start with introductions, but meh, that stuff is boring. There's a link to my PTR where you can see who we are. What's important is:
a) What we eat
b) What we do
3) What we EAT!!!

The day started with me getting off work at 6:30a (I'm a nurse working night shift) & heading to the airport.

Our airport is small. Apparently, however, Spirit (the airline we chose) has decided to make 4 flights leave all at the same time. This results in mass chaos. We were in line for check in around 7a, and the flight was scheduled to leave at 8:30. I thought the woman in front of us in line was going to have a panic attack. The security check only had 2 lines open, so that took a while to get through as well. Our flight was relatively empty, due in part, I think, to the check in & security process taking so long.

Anyway, our flight was uneventful. We landed in Atlantic City NJ (WAY out of the way!), only to find that they were ready to close the gates on our flight to Orlando! The woman at the desk was SUPER nice :rolleyes1 saying to me "Well, are ya getting on the plane or not?" right after she saw my husband run to get a bottle of water (she told him he had 10 minutes to do so. Apparently 10 minutes in NJ is not the same at 10 minutes in SC? :confused3) Bless her heart, she was just upset she wasn't going to Disney ::MickeyMo

We landed in Orlando around 12:30 or so, and DH's friend who manages the front desk (at night) for Swan/Dolphin came & picked us up. We had lunch at Sweet Tomatoes. OMG. If you like salad, GO. It's a all you can eat soup, salad, bread, dessert bar. Everything was fresh & delicious, & less than $8 per person, if I remember correctly. (I'm in bed, I'm not getting up to read a receipt yet ;) )

By that time it was almost 3 & DH & I were ready to get to our room s & take a nap. The room our friend booked for us wasn't ready yet (a balcony room) but there was one with a water view & maybe a view of Illuminations. We took it. I was SO ready for a shower (by that point it'd been 24 hours, you would have been too) & a nap that I didn't much care if the room had a balcony at that point. I was almost ready to take a bath in the fountain in the lobby!

Here's some pics of the room:

We got cleaned up, took a nap for a few hours, then headed to Mandara Spa. Turns out, you can't have a massage if you're in your 1st trimester. I knew this, but had forgotten, so I had to reschedule for a facial for tomorrow morning. DH said his massage was good. I too the time to take advantage of the steam room & take some photos:

I also sat on the balcony with a cup of hot tea, listening to Bob Marley playing over the speakers, & watched employees set up a large stage for the Food & Wine Classic.

After DH's massage was done, we headed over to the Boardwalk for dinner. It's so nice to be able to wander over to another resort. The Boardwalk was busy, but not packed. We ate at the Big River (sorry no food porn) which was decent. HUGE portions. We were able to see some of Illuminations, & from the other end of the Boardwalk, I was guessing it had to be Wishes we were seeing.

It was so much fun to watch the kids play on the lawn at BWI. Too cute! :cutie: It made us miss DS, but that's ok, he'll be with us the next time we return!

After dinner we walked through the Disney shop there just to see what's new this year. I could have spent a small fortune on other people's kids! Such CUTE stuff! I'll post pics of that later, I promise!

Well, we're in for the night, I have a facial tomorrow & we have ressies at Via Napoli, so expect some food porn!

Night Disers!

Holy crap! I'm first??? Wow!

I love the Dolphin! Aren't those beds awesome???

OMG, YES!!! I wouldn't have woken up at all except I was wondering what time it was (5:30, btw).

I finally got up at 7:30 & showered. Am drying my hair now, then will head down, no, over (we're on the 2nd floor) to get some breakfast, then up to Mandara for my facial! Yay!

AK has EMH tonight, so I think we'll head over there for a little bit at some point.

I forgot my purse :headache: so I'm on a mission to find a bag while I'm here! (I'm partial to the D&B wristlet thus far, but I'll look in Mouseworks today.)

I just love live reports!! Swan/Dolphin beds look so dreamy to sleep in - I never thought I would like to stay there but am having second thoughts after reading all of the great reviews.

Hope you had a relaxing facial this morning :cloud9: Can't wait to hear all about Via Napoli!

Hey all! I have to filter through my photos (all 125 of them) & then upload to PhotoBucket, so that'll likely happen tomorrow.

Facial: Best. Facial. Ever. 50 minutes of total relaxation. If all massages could focus on 1 area for 50 minutes, I'd be so happy I could die.

Via Napoli: had a wait (even with ressies) but the salad & pizza were delicious! I just wish the pepperoni was less greasy & there was more cheese on the pizza. Pics to come!

We did Test Track for the 1st time. So much fun! Kyle said it was like I was driving the car. Har har har.

Headed over to Club Cool. Kyle was REALLY fond of China's soda. It tastes like watermelon candy.

Then over to Journey into Imagination. YAWN. It used to be SO GOOD! Good grief, it was as if another theme park was trying to imitate Disney. :sad2:

We then checked out the Canada & England pavilions, then headed back to the hotel, cuz it was time for the Food & Wine Classic!

There were 2 beer, wine, or liquor booths to each food booth, which made for some interesting conversations in line! Obviously, I didn't drink, but Kyle was fond of the raspberry beer. All of the food was good, but Cabana's tuna nachos were my favorite. My least favorite was the falafel.

By 7 I was BEAT, so we headed to the room. I promptly fell asleep, and Kyle later went back for round 2. I woke up at 10 not feeling so hot (thank you gastric bypass, you keep me in check) and here I am!

I'll post pics tomorrow! We're headed to AK in the morning!

Test Track is fun. I didn't ride this year though. :sad2:

Have fun at DAK! I love FotLK. Are you planning to see it today?

hey you, i subbed last night, but didn't have a chance to comment! I didn't realize you could ride test track being prego!

Glad you enjoyed your facial! You deserve it! I can't wait to see some food porn..right now you're just a tease!

Um, you're not suppose to, or Dinosaur, but seriously, after my 1st plane ride here, if the kid stuck through that, it'd stick through those 2 rides!

Sorry for the lack of updates lately! The last 2 days, if we have been in the room, I've been asleep or in the shower. We are headed to EPCOT now, then to Kona, then to MNSSHP!!! :cheer2:

As promised...
I'll quote myself here & fill in details:

Ok so we covered Via Napoli above. It haz da nomz.

Continued later (gotta get ready for Harry Potter!)

Love the wine flight idea! May have to do that when we next visit :drinking1

My DS28 said to me the other day that we may have to get a sitter for my DS17 when we go so we can go out for a few drinks :lmao: (DS17 didn't like that comment - go figure!)

LOL, no idea why!

It was fun in there, getting to try new wines. I know the ice wine can be bought in the states. (The girl at the bar said she's seen it at Publix!)

Headed over to Club Cool. Kyle was REALLY fond of China's soda. It tastes like watermelon candy to me. Too sweet for my taste. In fact, all that I tried were, but then again, I'm not a soda drinker. I've had some Sprite Zero this pregnancy to help the nausea, but that's the most I've had in 4 years.

Ok, maybe it's just me, but Canada is a BORING pavilion. Compare it to England, where there are plenty of shops, 2 places to eat, a cute garden... just sayin'

This day we started the day at Animal Kingdom.

We got up early & hit the bus stop. We didn't have to wait long before our AK bus showed up! Our driver was full of... interesting... facts (?) such as:
*sprinklers come out of the ground
*when "5mph" is painted on the road, it means you should only drive 5mph
:confused3 Who knew? :confused3

Guess where we headed 1st? It was a nice, cool morning, so we headed to the safari!
