Here now - EasyWDW vs. TP

My fam went to WDW last year the week after Thanksgiving. I used Josh's crowd calendar to schedule what days I went to which parks. But once I was down there, I used the TP app to help me to know which rides were backed up and which ones were not. It worked well. It was a good week to be down there anyway, from a crowd standpoint. But we were never in any park that had above a 4 or 5 and never waited longer than 15 minutes to ride anything we didnt have FP for.

Did anyone who was there yesterday find large crowds from rope drop until lunchtime or was it mostly in the afternoon and evening?

That Saturday was our last day so we wanted to go back to MK. We didn't hit rope drop but probably were in the park by 9:15. It was not crowded in the morning. We did Jingle Cruise (literally walked straight through onto a waiting boat), POTC with no wait and then up to BTMRR with a 15 min wait. We checked out Tom Sawyer island and I couldn't get my boys to leave! We had lunch at Poly and when we got back to MK it was much busier. We had some FPs which were great since waits had gotten crazy - 55 min for Haunted Mansion and 80 for Jingle Cruise!
My younger son really wanted to do his second favorite ride again -- Small world and I did love that I was able to change our FP from 4pm to 3:05pm, at 3pm. Quick change on the phone and we headed in. I think standby was 45 min.
Fantasyland felt like wading through a frat party, ugh. When we left just after 4 there were still so many people heading in, bag check had lines just like in the morning.
