Here now, but forgot our hard tickets! Need to upgrade

We just arrived at MCO and I realized I forgot our 2 one day, one park tickets we were looking to upgrade. These tickets have been added to our MDE account and have even added FP+ reservations. We have linked magic bands. Can I still upgrade these tickets to 5 day passes even if I do not physically have my hard tickets? If it makes any difference, these original tickets are old. From about 2004-2005. Thanks in advance!

Yes.

Thanks! Could this create a problem price-bridging?

Nope.

The hard tickets, themselves, are irrelevant.
It is the INFORMATION (ticket history) about you and those tickets, that is still in Disney's computer, that matters.

Isn't there something about having an admission left in order to upgrade? I tried looking for the ticket sticky, but not seeing it. Is it gone? Lol

1. Your info is (moderately) incorrect.**

2. It was removed as a Sticky months ago, as it had not been updated for years.

** Tickets can be upgraded no later than close-of-business ON the day that the ticket's
last asset ("day") was used.
That allows for a one-day ticket to be USED, and then UPGRADED (& price-bridged) before the end of that same day.

Read my expanded post.

Side question but didn't want to make a whole new thread.

Could I essentially buy like 25 7-day hoppers now and use them to upgrade to AP's over the years? Effectively getting today's pricing (minus the upgrade fee) for an extended period?

The only negative that I can see is the opportunity cost of tying up funds in Disney.

Related question. Where is the BEST location to upgrade a ticket? Inside the park or outside? Is a particular park better than another? Any places you would definitely avoid?

It depends on where you buy your tickets. If you buy from Disney directly, such as from Disney online, will call/mail order, or a Disney ticket booth at WDW, you will just get credit for what you paid for your ticket originally. You will owe for price increases during the years since purchase.

BUT, If you buy from The Disney Store (full price) or a third party discount reseller (AAA, UCT, Maple Leaf, etc), then you can get current gate price for your old tickets IF -- you use your old tickets first, to enter a theme park, before upgrading. This is called price-bridging. Disney will also price-bridge resort package tickets.
