Flinker...how was breakfast at Boma? Was Boma crowded? Does the resort(in general) have many guests there?

Boma was AWESOME!! We would eat there again in a heartbeat! Very well priced ($18.99 Adult & $10.99 Child)

So much variety and soooo tasty!!

It was pretty busy, but maybe cause its a Sunday, but the restaurant itself has lots of room to walk around. We had a 10:30am reservation, and there was a very small line to wait in to check in. They were also accepting walk in's.

The resort itself is almost to full capacity, but it does not feel that way!
The pools get busier in the afternoon, but still plenty of room to swim and have fun! Lots of pool chairs, and towels etc...

We are headed to Jambo in May 2014, and will likely have a pool view, very interested to see the different possible room views !!!

I will take a pic and post one once I figure it out...lol

We are in Room 3454 in Zebra Trail.

We can see the pool, but a lot trees block it, but we have no compliants!

And, thanks for the advice on the BB and AP's! That is a very wise thing to do, and I'm going to definitely look into that, thanks!!!

We've been to Boma for dinner many times, but have yet to try breakfast. Glad you found it very good.....I'm determined to try breakfast on our next trip as I've read nothing but great things about it .

Even if you are undecided, book the BB just in case as you can always cancel . One thing to keep in mind is if you book just one resort with the BB, you won't be able to divide that up to do a split later on if you decide to. If you think your next trip will be 2 or more resorts again, make sure you book the BBs that way. You can always modify (pending availability) or cancel later, but you can't make a split out of 1 resort under a BB once you've left Disney.

I would love to try the breakfast at Boma, especially now that I find out that it is only $18.99. I'll have to figure a way to get over there some time.

The current bounce back might be for free dining next September. I'm not sure if they have released the room only bounce back for 2014 yet.

3 Weeks from today we will be checking into AKL Jambo and can't wait. I have to agree the resort is breathtaking and Boma is the best breakfast buffet. This is my 2nd stay at AKL but DH's first I can not wait to see his reaction.

That's great!! You guys will LOVE it!!

I have a 3 and 6 year old, and they love the resort so much that they declined a park today to stay and swim...lol

Jambo pool is the bigger one, but the slide is smaller. We visited Kidani pool today, and it was both boys fav! My 3yr old loved the smaller slide, and my 6yr loved the bigger one! Its 126 ft long and is very twisty.
They have tons of activites going on all the time and around the pool.

There is a pool party every day at both pools at 3pm.

I don't regret staying at AKL for even a second!

Hello fellow diser's.... I've been planning our 1st family vacation to Disney World for over a year, and I can FINALLY say we are here!! We got here yesterday morning at 8:45 am (from Toronto, Canada) and our 1st resort out of 3 is AKL! Its gorgeous!! We have a pool view for 2 nights at Jambo House, and then move over to Kidani tom for 4 nights Savanna View. We have reservations shortly for Boma, yum!!! If anyone has any questions, fire away! I will do my best to respond back in a timely manner Thanks to all the diser's that have helped me plan our 1st family vacation and make it so special!!! You guys rock!!

They have all sorts of activities!

*movies at night
*campfire (story telling and roasting of marshmellows)
*pool games (bingo, hula hoop contests etc..lots of variety)
*pool party every day at 3pm
and lots more fun stuff for the kids.

This morning my boys watched a CM feed all the pelicans. The CM's are great and answer any and all questions about the animals.
