We arrived today at POR. Was surprised at the amount of people at the resort but I'd mentally prepared myself because of free dining. What I was not related for is what I was greeted by when I got to MK. OMG, I can honestly say the last time I saw crowds like this was in July. Now before I get flamed, I understand it's free dining so resorts are more packed ( i.e. buzzes & food courts) but I didnt expect the wall to wall people walking down Main Street. We walked over to Pirates bc it's usually a small wait...25 minutes. I don't mean to sound Ike I'm complainingb but seriously? I've never waited longer than 5 min for that ride. Went to Hall of Pres & waiting area was not only packed but you couldn't walk more than 5 ft in the door because the floor was a literal sea of people. Again, never saw this before. Was going to try Haunted Mansion but it was 35 min wait and we had to get to DTD. We opted for the 10 min IASW wait instead. While in Fantasyland I noted PP was 50 and Snow White 30 min. WOW! We made it to bus stop and POR was 40 people deep while all others were empty or had a few people. We ended up hopping on FQ bus and took boat to DTD from there. I'm. Hoping the crowds were because of the weekend but resorts are packed so we will see tomorrow. Fingers crossed!

Here now & about to go to bed...I'm whooped!

1) Wait !
2) Don't got to sleep just yet !
3) I have some questions for you !
4) Hold on, lost my train of thought.
5) Just a minute.
6) Stay there, I will think of them in a few minutes . . . . .

:rolleyes1

I think that the crowds picked up this week because a lot of schools had off for the Jewish holidays. Today is the last day. Maybe people took a chance to go when the kids wouldn't miss too much school during free dining.

I hope the crowds get better as this week goes on. 50 mins. for PP is an insane wait time!

We have been here for a week. Crowds have been low until Friday. They picked up then.
I think the F&WF starting has a lot to do with it. Epcot WS was wall to wall.
We didn't wait long for any ride at all.
The heat and humidity is the killer for me!

Yikes, I hope the crowds thin out for you... (And for ME, we'll be there in just a few weeks!)

I totally agree with Marionnette. It was probably weekend + Jewish holiday traffic. I'll bet crowds will thin out after Monday. Have a great time! I've only been back home for 23 days and I'm already jealous and ready to plan for more!!!

we were there 9/19-9/26 ...MK in particular was PACKED everyday we went, ESPECIALLy Sat 9/19 and Sat 9/26; so much so that we only stayed for a measely hour before we left for hotel pool.
we have been the same week for 3 straight yrs and it has not EVER EVER been so crowded.
certainly made me think twice about booking bounceback:(

We just returned home last night, we were there 9/19-9/26. We arrived on a Saturday and yes, MK was crowded, not packed but it was high afternoon. Sunday, early morn at the MK was like no one was there but as the day warmed up, the crowds came. Our favorite park is the MK and we make it there just about every day and Monday morning was like everyone left. We had a vacant park until around 12ish. We walked on to everything, no problem, later afternoons are the busiest. Same goes for the other parks, weekdays, rope drop till noon, nobody, then the dam breaks, even the evening before park closing were very managable. Nope, we had a super week, best bus travel out of all our trips, dining is nuts, we do no dining plan and met many a guest peeved over their reservations and having to wait an hour just to get in and be seated. I can see where the plan and TS meals eat a good 2 hours a day to get food. We're very happy with the convenience of CS, get our food and be on our way in less than an hour. All in all, one of the better of 43 trips we've taken.

yes i agree, mid day it was wall to wall ppl everywhere.
but it was packed at AK when we got there for morning EMH ...we arrived at 7.30 (EMH started at 8am). in yrs past we were always the first ones when we got there 30mins prior to opening....but not this yr at AK or MK.
Epcot morning EMH was better than the others IMO...but living w/ the land was closed and my girls are not into soarin or TT so not much for them at morning EMH at Epcot

I'm going to move this over to our trip report board.
