So, I'm just curious when did you start school in GA that you have a fall break?

Our school started Aug 3 or 4 (sorry can't remember exactly). We also get a spring break in April and another week break in February. The September and February week breaks are new this year for us.

I figured you had to start before the middle of August. There is no reason that I need to know this , again just curious, with all these breaks this year did they extend your school year or did they take away other breaks?

They extended the school year. We got back a week earlier and get out a week later (end of May) now.

Don't panic folks! Although it may seem like "everyone" you know in Cherokee and Cobb counties are going to Disney, realistically this is a few thousand people. Factor in all 4 parks, water parks, all the different resorts, etc, this should not make a huge impact and it should still be very enjoyable for those of us who are there next week. We never waited in a line longer than 15 minutes during the same week last year and it was awesome! The restaurants were jammed of course b/c everyone there is on free dining. As long as you have your ADRs set, you should be golden. Hope everyone has a fantastic time!

DHS packed today. FP gone for TSM. Leaving now headed to Epcot.

Fantasmic nights are Thursday and Sunday. We were in DHS last thurs (9/9) and it wasn't too bad during the day, but by night time the crowds were quite large. We were going to do the early show, but it ended up being SRO so we waited until we could get in line for the late show. We probably stood in line for 1 hr and had good seats right in the middle. The stadium filled up fast again, but there were a few seats to be had. It's worth the wait. It's still our favorite night time show.

I am beginning to get a little panic because there are so many people from here going to Disney tomorrow and the next few days. I met a teacher that said 20 out of her 22 students were going!!! But you are right, even if it brings an additional 5000 people to Disney, divided by all the parks it shouldn't be bad, right?

They should call this Atlanta week....you know like Jersey week!!

We were there this week. Henry county was out and we have 45 schools here. We saw tons of people we knew. Both my daughters had tons of friends to hang out with! It was great! My DH and kids made it a mission to read all the tags we passed in the parking lot.

I second this. We just came back last night and DH and I decided that it is a must to come down in September.....the only thing I was not too happy about was the humidity....but I will take that anyday if that means I can walk onto EE with a 5 minute wait 6 times in a row

Absolutely,when we started going in september we loved it.I really started using the pools alot more because it was warm.Seemed like we had more time too because of the small crowds.But don't tell anyone!
