I just want to say thank you so much for all of your time and effort on this project. The Illuminations Party is something that my husband and I would never be able to do on our own and therefore are looking forward to this event and to meeting our fellow DISers.

I am not sure if I have already told you this or not but if the tour is on Sunday morning then you can count my husband and I in if we are not already on your list.

What kind of update? Final price? I'm still waiting to hear back from our Disney rep with regards to finalising the menu - until that is done then we won't know a final price per person.

Penny, I need to know how to register for the Illuminations Desert Party. Do I do this thru you or WDW reservations? Thank you so much.

Was anyone able to make Grand Gathering reservations before the availability filled up? If so, can you let me know which ones? I'll keep checking on those for cancellations - we'd need at least 2 others from our GG# to be going to the same event to technically qualify (I have 6).

Penny - do we need to do anything else to let you know if we need add-ons for the dessert buffet (we have 2 members in our party without park passes).

What time will we be meeting for the Illuminations Buffet? And can you give us specifics on where to meet? Do we have to give a secret password to get in .

Hope things are going well. I am still trying to plan my dining PSs. I have been reading on these boards that it is REALLY important to get PSs now because the dining plans are causing more people to go to the sit down restaurants and that there have been times that walk ins have been turned away!

So if there is a place anyone really wants to dine, you might want to go ahead and make a PS ahead of time.

Sounds like the parks might be very crowded. Nice to know we already have our spot for Illuminations!!!

It will start at 8.30 sharp and lasts one hour, I suggest meeting in the area by the entrance around 15 minutes prior so that we can all move straight in when it opens.

For people who will be entering the park with the special ticket for Illuminations only we may arrange to meet outside the main entrance at a specific time and enter the park as a group.

I am actually discussing with the rep about getting wristbands for us all - just not quite sure right now whether we can do that for both groups or not (the outside the park people may have to be escorted in by a CM and the people already inside the park), just one of the little details I'm currently thrashing out with them - if we can do that though, it'll make the whole thing a lot smoother

For those planning on making PS's for dinner and then go straight to the area for dessert I think a safe time to get one would be around 7pm or so.

I'm sorry, I don't mean to sound stupid, but what "entrance" do you mean? Is it in a restaurant? So would it be the entrance to the restaurant?

Is there a group doing this? How much extra is it? Is it too late to do this? We may like to try this also now that we are going to the parks on Sunday. I didn't think anyone else was doing it and I was afraid we would be stuck all by ourselves outside the park trying to get it .

DJ, there is a small pathway that leads to the area where we will be having our party - it's hard to explain it, but closer to the time I'll name a specific place where I'll stand and then everyone can meet me there. You'll probably see the pathway when you get anyhow (once you know where to look)...it'll be noticable by the fact that it'll be roped off for us

For the group paying the Illuminations fee - nope, not too late to do this I'm still collecting the info in a list, I don't have my notes handy but I seem to recall it's something like an additional $15 per person all-in to do it, just let me know

and curious, how many of us are going to Dessert Party? And also would like to know what general area we will be in.

I just talked with DH and we decided that we like this idea. So please put the 4 of us down for the Illuminations only with the extra admission fee.

Just let me know what I owe you (put our AK Safari check with the Illuminations check that I sent and then you can tell me what else I owe).

How many of us will be doing the 'add on' admission for the Illuminations event? Will we all need to meet at the same place? We will be at Boardwalk, so I am wondering, will we need to go around to the front Epcot entrance, or will there be a way to come in through the International Gateway?

Hi Penny....we're getting close now. Any word for us on how you want the rest of our IllumiNations bill paid? I believe we paid 50% didn't we? I don't think I paid the whole thing for the three of us. Let us know. Are you going crazy yet with it all getting so close?

Heh, not crazy yet - strangely calm in fact! I think it's because the folks at Disney are so calm about it all...every conversation I have I seem to get the impression that I see it as "It's only x amount of days left" and they see it as "It's still x amount of days" I guess as they do this everyday and it's easy as pie for them to do.

I am just still sorting out the small details - once I sign off the final menu and sort out the business of how to handle the wristbands then we'll be good to go with the balance payment - not sure exactly when, but I'm certain that it'll be this week so look for an email soon

Incidently, if anyone is interested in joining us at the Dessert Party there is still room and I'm told I can add people (but not remove) up to a few days before the actual party date. For those who've sent me emails already expressing an interest the reason I've not contacted you about it is because we are so close that it wasn't worth collecting a deposit when the balance was due so quickly on it's heels...but I couldn't tell you the balance until it's been finalised, ick!

We also still need 4 people to join the very special private backstage tour on the Sunday for $99 per person. Yes it's expensive, but this is not a 'regular' tour so your only opportunity to take it is via a group like this. If I don't get the last 4 people committing to this then I'll knock the tour on the head by this weekend - as it is we are as always subject to availability of the slot still being available to us when we are ready.
