This does require park admission also.

Thanks to everyone who's sent me their details - I now have more than enough to give this another crack...what I'll do is obviously book the minimum, then depending on how painful it is I'll try and work my way down the list and register as many of you as I can, but I'll keep you posted on how that goes afterwards.

Hopefully then, all you have to do is call up to book the actual events you want which, fingers crossed, will be a bit easier!

Were you able to get us registered this weekend as a Grand Gatherings? Also, have you decided how to handle the money for the Epcot Illuminations Buffet? When and how do you want to settle our cost for this event?

We are at 58 days! It is getting closer! I am starting to get excited now, it doesn't sound that far away anymore! I can't wait to see Soarin' at Epcot and the new Cinderella show at MK!

Hey guys!

Sorry I've not been around this last week...unfortunately my job revolves around deadlines which means every few weeks I get tied up with work and can mean I don't have a lot of DIS time :(

I'm back now though and so expect to see an email from me later today - seriously though, thanks all for your patience - I know it can be a little irritating wanting to know stuff and the person with the answers isn't around to ask!

If it's any consolation, I've still not even had time to book my own flight yet...and it's not like I have the option to drive ;)

I just called MS to add myself to the GG number.

They said that we need:

1. The first and last name of the Lead planner (and you said that someone other than you has volunteered to do that, we don't have a last name for that person).

2. The name of the gathering. I guess each gathering has a 'name'.


She also said that it is not usually done where someone 'adds' themselves to a GG number, that is usually set up by the planner, BUT she could try to submit a form requesting I be added (but she wasn't sure that would happen since I am requesting it and not the lead planner). BUT to submit the form, I need the two pieces of information that I listed above.

Anyone else have any luck adding themselves? I was going through Member Services at Disney Vacation Club since we are staying on points.

need to know how are we settling the financial end of things.
Are you going to be giving each person an update as to what they owe and are you shredding the checks sent for the AC event.

I think the Illuminations thing is a private function that Penny set up weeks ago. The GG's would be the Safari, Wishes Cruise, and MK breakfast @ Tony's.

I think this is true. I was thinking of doing the Wishes cruise on Monday night, BUT after talking to the DVC member services, I found out that there are no studios at OKW on Monday to switch my reservation to (the only resort that I have enough points to stay at this trip). So we will probably just go to Vero Beach as we planned.

If you are only doing the Illuminations Buffet (which now looks like that is all we will be doing), I don't think you need to be listed as a GG.

Oh, good grief!! I just found Penny's email from 4/21 in an obscure mailbox I didn't even know I had! (I never knew one email address could go several different places, but evidently Earthlink has a way!) :crazy:

We will be trying for the Safari Dinner and the Wishes Cruise but it looks like I have to have Penny or my DU agent call since my room at the Swan is booked through DU.
 
You can send your DU TA an email with the GG # and what you want and it will be done! :teeth:

I have sent a PM to Penny as I believe her email indicated that we could contact her or our DU agent with our DU confirm number. I was not sure if my DU agent would know what to do. I was not sure if Penny was DU agent herself.
