Here it is - Announcement re More FP+ Beginning 4/28

Why would Disney stay quiet about this though? If one goal is to get more people to stay onsite why wouldn't they make it clear that the FP+ offerings could be better for onsite visitors?

Unless of course this is being tested right now...

No reason that won't happen later. Right now, they need to start showing higher guest spend asap, since they've set that expectation to the Street. The low hanging fruit is off-site longer in the Parks to spend more and on-site out more quickly to spend more at the broader Resort.

Also, on-site out of the Parks sooner means more capacity can be let in the Parks each day- they were very quick to announce initial success that MM+ allowed 3000 additional guest into MK over the holidays.

That really can't happen until after 12:00 ET, since only 1 FP+ per hour can be booked. Even understanding that, I anxiously checked this thread anyway, since anyone who booked 9-10, 10-11, and 11-12 could conceivably be looking at FP+ #4 right now, if they rode a ride with FP #3 right at 11:00 ET...

I'm actually wondering if it could be sooner tho. I know you can't prebook an overlap but when I was there in Dec I was able to change my Buzz FP+ right after I did the 2nd check in on space. This allowed me to get off space and go right on buzz which was nice. Granted this is all going to depend on availability, but if this is still allowed it would be great...well in my opinion it'd be great especially in Epcot. FP+ with Soarin', Living with the Land and and maybe nemo all within the first 1 1/2 hours and then get you FP+ for TT. I'm sure it would be later in the day but beats standing in line. I hope someone tests this!

Also for anyone in the park, how well known are they making it to guests? Are they pushing the idea of the 4th FP, or do you need to know about it from your own research?

Scientific experiment, Schmientific experiment... what we need is some confidential, insider, whistle-blower information from a secret source. Let's ask a bus driver! :rotfl2:

You all are killing me. I'd like data. With controlled variables. Please? :rotfl2:

I really don't expect Disney to ever come out and admit that people are intentionally being given different FP+ choices, even if that's really what's happening. I expect it to be more subtle guidance of the Disney experience -- directing people so they spend more, making certain guests feel like VIPs, making others eager to return or maybe even discouraging less desirable guests.

This is actually good information to know, though it does tie you to your phone more, which I don't like.

Does anyone know if the "E-ticket" rule still applies at Epcot, in regard to the 4th, 5th, etc. FP+? That is, if I already used an FP earlier on Test Track, can my 4th be for Soarin'?

I do believe so, if any are left.

I'm thinking this can quickly be done while "Puddy" is doing the safety briefing. That is if you can get a signal.back there. But I also though it was good info to have. Just not sure if it still works. I was there right after thanksgiving so LOTS has changed since then.

Uh oh maybe they've been in a kiosk line for 30 minutes!

With no battery left in the phone .... ;)

Something I am curious to hear about in the coming weeks is if there are surges of guests lining up at the kiosks at certain times of the day. This might give some sort of indication as to whether those with early FP's who have used them up by noon, are applying a strategy aimed at securing additional FP's or if it is s steady stream of people throughout the latter part of the day.

yes, they indicated that the "bonus" FP+ can be for any attraction and not subject to tiering

Would like to know if anyone has a 4th fp and what for and how long they were waiting in a kiosk queue??
Does anyone know what fp are left now?
