I was just messing around on Spirit Airlines website and decided to pop in my dates for my Feb trip. I originally paid $390.90 out of Chicago in ther first class cabin. Today it's now showing $1283.90, $893.00 :earseek: more than I paid 8 days ago.

Good think I booked when I did.

Yes, isn't it amazing how things can change in a few short days! I was watching prices online to bring my son home from the air force base in Anchorage in November and looking in the high $500s and by the time he got his leave dates confirmed a few days later they had gone up to $1400! Fortunately I called the airline directly and got a military fare for $730...not as good as I wanted but a whole lot better than it could be. I don't understand why it has to be that way. Just glad I got what I did so he can make it home for deer hunting, his 21st birthday, and Thanksgiving! :Pinkbounc

It seems that you either have to book very early, or if you are flexible, you can book very late and get good rates. Last year, we booked a last-minute trip to Disney when SWA released $49 fares two weeks prior to our Feb school vacation. Luckily, we are DVC members and were able to get OKW at the last minute as well.

I agree. We booked pretty early. For my family of five plus my son's friend we got tickets on Delta for $128 per person. My friend and her two DDs on the same flights booking about a month later paid $400+ per person. :earseek: Even though they are driving me nutty by continually changing our flights I can't say it's not worth it for the price I paid.
