DH is a huge Dallas Cowboys fan. He asked me the other night if the Cowboys make it to the NFC Championship if he could fly home from our WDW vacation to see the game and fly back!! :rolleyes1 At first I thought he was kidding than I realized he was not! I was a bit shocked, mad, and a little sad. I told him if it would make him happy to fly back to see the game and than fly back to WDW to ahead and do it. Some people will think I am nuts, but my rationale was he never complains about my Disney obession. He lets me book a trip whenver I want. When we go back to visit relatives in NYC, he knows I love Broadway shows. He will stop at nothing to get me tickets to the shows I am dying to see (i.e. - Wicked). I have some serious medical problems and the man steps up to the plate every time to care for the girls when I can't (i.e. Pulmonary Embolism and open heart surgery after giving birth to our last child)How can I tell him not to go when he does so much for me?? :confused3
So, if the Cowboys do make it to the NFC Champoinship and it is in Dallas I will be solo with my 2 little ones for 2 days.
The one good thing is he had me add on an extra day to make up for some of the time he misses! :goodvibes
He also told me I could book another trip in '08 if I want too!! :Pinkbounc
The lesson I learned, marriage is a give and take. If this is his only vice than I am doing pretty well! :thumbsup2
Thank you for reading!
P.S. - If he misses the girls reservation at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique than he is going to be sleeping at Texas Stadium!! :rotfl2:

I say if you can afford the extra airfare then let him have his fun! Is he going to fly out by his self or all of you?

Cough cough...GO COLTS...Cough cough

Good for you :thumbsup2 Sounds like your husband is a wonderful guy. You both are lucky to have one another. Their is so much going on in our society with regards to the break down of the family I love to hear stories were marriage and rasing children are done well. Have a great trip!

On the other hand I'm a Redskin's fan so I can only hope that you all have an un-interrupted vacation :rolleyes1

Well then it will be fun for all of you!

You sound like a very lucky lady! My DH doesn't drink, smoke, gamble or any of those other "bad" things. He has never told me no when I want to do something. I realize how good I have it and when he wants to spend on something thats important to him I say go for it! Yes he will miss some of your vacation but not all. Better a crazed Cowboy fan than a Grumpy Gus if he doesn't get to go. By the way.....GO COLTS!!!

LOL!!! The Cowboys better show up on Monday or they will have no playoff home games at all! This scenerio also depends on whether the Bears get elminated prior to NFC Championship game. As it stands now the Bears have at home field advantage through out the playoffs. If the Bears make it to the NFC Championship than it is a moot point. It will be an away game.

He really is a good guy. We have two wonderful little girls. Health is the only thing that lacks in our lives (thankfully the girls and DH are well!!). When you live with health issues that can take you away from the ones you love, you quickly learn that everthing else is just small potatoes!

Thanks!!

As long as you are all happy and safe with it, nothing else matters! I hope you *all* have fun and some magic football or not. (My brother will the cheering with with you DH, I don't understand football myself.)

Thank you! I learned all about football after I met my DH....

I say let him have his fun. I'd love to be alone with DD in WDW. We would probably spend the entire day riding the Buzz Lightyear ride... we can't get enough and DH could care less.

:happytv:

Go Ravens!!!

I am not a fan of the Cowgirls myself, but I think that if this is what he wants, let him go. :) At least he is not asking you to cancel the trip just in case.

Sounds like you have a good strong marriage. That is wonderful!

btw - I live in Dallas and I get a lot of flack for that. :teeth: I am a Steelers fan, but they stink this season.

Not a Cowboys fan??? Is that allowed in Texas?? :rotfl:

The Steelers fell apart this season, but Willie Parker still got me decent fantasy points :-)

I agree with your thinking. Whatever works for you, do it. Your man sounds like a winner. Keep him.
:thumbsup2

I think it's great as well :thumbsup2 DH & I have our "50/50" rule....for example: if DH wanted to go home for a football game( in our case, it would be the Buffalo Bills, not that we even have to worry about that :confused3 ), then I would say go because he is already fufilling my dreams of being in Disney. It has always worked for us....15 years of marriage and going strong  Happy Holidays :wizard:
