Here I go again!! Holly's weight loss journey (comments welcome)

I'm just getting caught up with your journal, and it sounds like you had a really stressful week last week, BUT you kept trying to live in a healthy way in the midst of everything! Wow, that is really an accomplishment. I hope you give yourself a minute for a little pat on the back as you go into the week ahead.

I think it's great that you've had that feeling of "getting it"!! You felt in your heart and mind that this is a journey for health and happiness, not just for weight loss! This is about being the best you can be and about treating yourself with the love and respect that you truly do deserve! Those feelings of peace and happiness can be so elusive, and it's wonderful that you felt them and acknowledged them!

You've come a long way, Holly, and there's more good stuff to come!! :sunny:
 
Holly: I'm so glad to hear you're feeling more up-beat. I'm also adding my prayers to the many others. Remember that any loss is better than the alternative, and healthy choices is what keeps you in the right direction long term.

With so many stressors on you this week, it's not surprising that you had a rough day. I'm so glad that you've gotten through it. The library day with the kids sounds great! Glad you could enjoy it.
 

Hey everyone, I didn't quit !! I'm still here and doing really good! Our computer at home is down & I've been busy at work so I haven't been able to post but everything is going really well as far as my new WOL is concerned!! I guess we'll see how good on Sat for weigh in. Well hopefully I'll be able to post before Sat but regardless hope everyones week is & continues to go by smoothly.

doesn't that stink when your home computer is down? drives me crazy! and i totally hear you on the not having time to post from work. i've been going through that this week too! but today i have time, so i'm trying to catch up with everyone :)

Hey everyone I have my computer back up & running at home!!! Well this past week has been a good one for me & hope it has been for everyone else also. Today was weigh in at WW and I'm down 2.8 this week!!!:hyper: So a total of 8.6 lbs in 27 days...I'm pretty excited about that!! Hopefully next week I will get my 10 lb ribbon;) I completely forgot since I weighed in at 224 my points dropped from 28 to 26 per day and I ate 28 today but that's ok, I'll just deduct them out of my flex points. I am getting ready to go to bed, getting to sleep before 1am is something rare for me so I try to do it any chance I get. I will get caught up on journals tomorrow!!

I've been such a slacker about journaling lately!!! Sorry I still didn't get to journals!! I have just had so much going on at home and work that it's been crazy, but the good news is I'm still sticking to plan!!! Today is actually 1 month & I haven't cheated yet!!! I'm gonna take it easy and in the next couple days I will be journaling on a regular basis again...I promise!! Ok everyone have a great nite!!

WOW!! :earseek: I cannot believe almost a year has passed since I last posted in my journal. I just read through & saw the last time I was here I weighed 224, well I am happy to say I am now 199!!! :banana: So at least I've accomplished something while I've been gone. :teeth: My job is having a 12 week Biggest Loser contest, we all put in $10 & the winner takes the pot. We just had our 2nd weigh in & I am in the lead, at a 6.5 lb loss. Keep your fingers crossed for me!! If I win that will be $110.00 towards our trip to WDW!! I am still doing WW but I'm starting to keep track of my carbs also so we'll see how that goes. I am eating 24 ww points per day & not going over 100 net carbs. I know a couple people seem to think thats a lot of carbs but it' s a big cut from what I was eating so I'm going to try it for a week & make adjustments depending on my weight loss. Today is only day 2 doing this so I'll find out Friday if it helps.

Today was weigh in at work for our contest. I was very pleased!! I weighed in at 196.5!!! Finally ONDERLAND!!! I never want to see the 200s again!! So for our contest I am at a 10 lb loss since 2/4. I am no longer in the lead anymore though. One person has passed me up at a total loss of 10.5 lbs but that person has had gastric bypass so I would expect them to lose faster then me.
I've had a really good week as far as eating and exercise go. I stayed within my WW points, & used quite a bit less then 100 carbs per day (one day I went over on carbs, I had 111). I rode my exercise bike everyday for 30 mins, I've also started walking 30 mins at lunch at work. I thought cutting my carbs would be hard but honestly I haven't even missed them.
Now that I'm in the mid 190's I have my eye on the 180s, I can't wait!!! :banana: :banana: :banana:
