Here Comes The Magic!!!!!!

Well, maybe two......:cool1:

We can't wait to get back to Key West on the Magic, sailed many years ago when our kids were small, it was hot and humid, and the kids just wanted to go back on the ship (that's not a bad thing):lmao::lmao:

Anyway, my DH and I are sailing alone this time, we have the train booked, to see the tip of the US.....2 questions:

1) where can we taste the best Key Lime Pie (not normally a fan, but, heck I'm in Key West!), and not the chocolate one on a stick...plain, and is it walking distance from ship.

2) is there anyplace near the ship to buy wine and take back to the ship. My DH and I like a glass or two of wine each night on the ship and we were wondering if there was anyplace to buy it nearby. Thanks for any info you can give us. We will be on the May 4th sailing.:yay::yay::yay:

Thanks for any info.

OP--I have to let you know that I used one of your pics for my desktop photo on my computer here at work. I just look at it and all the stress melts away!

THANK YOU!

We will be on the Magic next week when you are on the Fantasy MV! When I saw the itineraries, I knew we had to be on the Magic! I feel like we will be some of the first people to get to see the Fantasy without even being on her! I can't believe we are in the same ports on the same days! I'll wave hello to you!:dance3:

Next week isn't the Fantasy's MV, but it will be a media cruise so not sure of the itinerary. I'm hoping we'll see the Fantasy around CC but guess we won't know until we get there.

Sounds Great!!! I'll wave back!!:yay:
Can you imagine..... standing on the dock, seeing those two great ships next to each other! It'll happen alot in the future, but we'll be there for the first official moment!!

Will that really happen? When I looked at possibly cruising on the Fantasy, it looked like it bypassed Key West and went to Costa Maya instead. I wondered if the port at Key West could accommodate the larger ships.

Thank-you!!! Thank-you !! Everyone!!!:lovestruc:love:

...

Here's another one of my silly thoughts-how I can't wait for midnight, every night, because that's when I call room service and ask for a cup of hot chocolate, warm chocolate chip cookie and a Mickey Bar!!!! It may sound simple, but it means SO MUCH to be able to do that. When I hear that knock on the door,I'm immediately transported to my happy place.

...
Here you go ...

Your pictures are beautiful, they look like postcards. We LOVE the Magic. She was our first :)

The Maiden Voyage of the Fantasy is March 31st. The Magic sales on March 30th--that is Friday and Saturday of next week. The two ships are in Cozumel and Grand Cayman together.

The Fantasy will not go to Key West because of her size.

Gotcha - I was thinking of the March 24th sailing as "next week".

Just an FYI
There is an ENORMOUS controversy going on right now in Key West concerning the new larger ships, like the Dream & Fantasy.
The channel would have to be dredged to accommodate them, which will cost millions and destroy coral and anything living on the ocean floor in that area.
There's even a debate going on about spending the money for an impact report. So I don't see the bigger ships coming to KW for a long time, if at all.:confused3

I hope they don't dredge! The bigger ships can just find another port than to kill what makes Key West so beautiful!

I absolutely agree! If KW would like the tourism the bigger ships can bring in, maybe they could all look at tendering.

I wish you all could show up at the next community meeting. The commissioners who want the channel dredged feel that they're speaking for cruise ship passengers who they think,en masse, want the BIG ships coming in.
Hopefully, this will drag on for a long long time and the coral and other living beings will be allowed to continue to thrive on the ocean floor.

Thank-you for being on the side of sanity and most of the KW citizens. We truly appreciate your caring:lovestruc
