We are home at SSR this week - the resort is lovely as always and we are enjoying our 2 BR; we are in the Paddock, which is the only disappointing part, since we feel a little off the beaten track, especially after getting dropped off by the bus at the end of the night. Busses are running well - but we are using our car to go the parks most of the time.
I am surprised at the parks; they are more crowded than I thought they would be in the first week of January. Extra Magic Hours at MK on Sunday were AWESOME! Not too crowded - walked on to Haunted Mansion, Pirates... had a little wait for Thunder Mtn. Railroad, but nothing terribel. Hollywood Studios was packed today - not sure why the crowds are still so heavy. Hope we won't be as crowded tomorrow!:wizard:
After this week, our next stop will be HHI for a few days in a grand villa. :)

Jealous, can't wait to get back. Wonder if there is leftover crowd from New Years week? Hope you have good weather and the crowds die down for you.

Crowds at the Parks were much better today! Hope that holds true for another day or two - wonder how busy it gets when the marathon people arrive??

The weather has been gorgeous, but we're heading for a rainy day tomorrow. Can't ask for better than today, though - about 80 degrees, sunny, slight breeze - absolutely wonderful! The quiet pool in The Paddock was busy today - still plenty of empty chairs, but there must have been about 20 of us at the pool today. I stayed about an hour and a half and let the hot tub work on my sore muscles. :lovestruc

We ate lunch at LeCellier, spent the day walking around Epcot, watched another wonderful Illuminations, then came back to SSR for a late night snack and winding down. Having the 2BR here is so nice - a great way to have lots of room for all of us. I will try to get over to the Grandstand pool in the next day or so, since I still haven't seen it up and running. :woohoo:

We'll be home in a month and a half now!!!

Glad you are having a great time!

Hi KSP! DH and I are also at SSR until Friday, then we are heading next door to OKW for another 5 nights :goodvibes We were supposed to be here until next Friday but we are cutting this trip short 2 days to close on our new house :goodvibes

Things are crowded here, I overheard a CM state that SSR is at 94% capacity (that was yesterday)

We haven't been to the pools but I have noticed that there are always people in the pools. The busses haven't been bad, except last night after Illuminations we waited in line forever - I have never seen so many people in line before:scared1: All things considered I think we were home about an hour after Illuminations finished, not bad really and way better than renting a car.

Only 2 weeks to go! We are really hoping for Congress Park or The Springs. I need to figure out how to request it.

How is the weather right now, we check in tomorrow, but at OKW, not SSR.

As I am typing this, the rain has just started. The radar shows a good strong storm (wind 40-45 mph, torrential rain), but it should blow through pretty quickly. My DD and her school friend are in route to AK - they dressed to get wet today, since they want to ride the Kali River rapids. I hope they took their Mickey ponchos! :rotfl:
As of tonight, the night time temperature is supposed to dip into the 40s, but the days will be sunny and mid 70s. Should be nice weather here as soon as the rain moves through.
Glad to hear there are other DIS friends here! :yay:

I'm debating going to the Member meeting today - (Wednesdays at 4 p.m.) -
DH will want to be in the parks, instead of going to a "silly old meeting" - he already has too many meetings in his life, poor guy!
Maybe we'll see you there, Tink n Pooh:flower3:
