Hello! We've had an awesome trip - the weather has been great - the parks quiet.. We got to see Lights Motors Action and today we are going to be Soarin'!!

Anyway - my point in writing - - We are checking out Sunday and will definitely have laundry supplies left over and perhaps some still sealed food. Anyone coming in on Sunday?

If not, are we still leaving things in the self-serve laundry - or has okw put the kybosh on that?

OH - toured SSR last night after a lovely morning at the SSR pool and an awesome afternoon at the spa. I really love the decor. Nice place! The bartender and I had a bit of a discussion re: the music at the pool. He reminded me the theme was that of a turn of the century resort in NY. I said that swing music was not turn of the century.... he agreed, but said there was some ragtime in there! Anyway - I am very music sensitive, and I think that swing music would get to me after a bit - isn't that silly of me?!?!?!? Avoiding a place just because of the soundtrack? (sheesh!) :earboy2:

I have to rate this vacation as one of the best in terms of weather, crowds, encounters with CMs etc...

Sue

Thanks for checking in Sue. Glad you're having a nice time. What spa service did you have ? Sounds heavenly as I sit here freezing in 40 degrees in PA !

Sue

I hope these next two days last a LOOONG time for you.

Was Lights... any good? What about Soarin'?

Music will make or break it for me, too. Movies, restaurants, anywhere. It was my main objection to Universal's Citywalk and Islands of Adventure!! I kept longing for those Disney sounds. It's one of the first things that comes to mind when I think of the parks and resorts at WDW.

Lights... was GREAT! I was awed - but i do love speed and driving... i feel it is loads better than Indiana Jones.

Soarin' will be this afternoon - but from what I've heard it will be great.

WOW! We're here now also, I thought that the crowds at the park were intense....... OK, probably not July/August intense, but we usually come in September, so to me, it's a zoo here right now.

I guess it's all what your used to, huh? :flower:

We're going on Soarin Sunday - can't wait!!

Mrs. PB

We're early birds - so that must help. The longest wait has been 10 minutes.

lights, motors, action... at least that's what i think it's called... at MGM by Backlot Tours.

I hear it's going to run again today - Saturday. They aren't on the regular schedule yet - it's catch as catch can.

Be glad you weren't at the SSR pool in July when they were playing MADONNA! :rotfl:

Glad you are having a great time and I hope you enjoy Soarin. I was able to see it at DCA a couple of years ago and am looking forward to seeing it in June at WDW and again in July at DCA!

I loved LIGHTS, too. We were able to see a soft opening of it over Easter and thought it was an action packed, "where to look next" show!

Madonna??? ick.... better with the swing music!

Well, we still have a ton of detergent left!!!!! I'll leave it in the laundry at Miller's Road.

i don't want to go home!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :sad2:
