Here at Diagon Alley

Sorry to thread hi-jack but i have a question about tickets.

Last time I visited (2 years ago) I could only ride 4 rides in the whole IoA park due to having heart problems - it was a lot of $$$ to visit Hogsmead.

This year I'm trying to work out if I need to buy an IoA ticket plus a US ticket to see both Hogsmead and DA, anyone able to help?

We walked right into breakfast this morning at 7:10am. We where one of the first 100 people on Gringotts and once done went to eat. Their was maybe 15 other people in there.

Not sure about lunch/dinner

No line up at breakfast time when we checked it out on the 9th. Yesterday at 4:30 it was also very low crowds at leaky Calderon

So if we aren't 6:00 AM risers on vacation. What would be a good time to go to DA during the day? Afternoon? Evening? Closer to closing time?

Make one day early riser day. If not it's a crap shoot. But maybe the next best time is evening.

I'm sure it'll change in the coming months, but they've been closing the queue around 7pm-8pm so if you went in the evening, I'd say early evening.

If you don't want to ride Gringotts anytime! If Gringotts is a priority I would make an early morning then go back and nap. You will wait 3 plus hours any other way. Never in the last few days was the ride wait under 3 hours once the park opened.

Is there a line to get into DA? Or is the only way to get there waiting for the ride? I don't think I am keen on waiting for 3 hours but would love to wonder around the DA. Thanks

The last two days only in the morning was their a wait to get into DA but that is done after regular park opening. We walked into DA the last two days in the afternoon (around 11am and 5pm). They even opened London so you didn't have to enter only from Fear Factor. The first few days you could only enter from one side. You could enter from Kings Crossing yesterday evening.

Since we have never seen either park and plan on skipping Gringotts, should we EE Hogsmead, then take the HExpress over to US to walkaround DA? then spend day two riding everything else at both parks?

:confused3

Did you have breakfast there included with your vacation package, or did you just go there and they let you in? Universal guest services told me that the only way to get breakfast at LC was if you had booked a whole vacation package. :confused3

You absolutely need what is called a park-to-park tickets (think Disney's Park Hopper). It is the only way to visit both Harry Potter areas and even ride Hogwart's Express. Undercover tourist is where we always get our tickets -- you save a few bucks. But if you want to buy a whole vacation package, I think Universal is having some specials right now.

No package nor reservation. We were there during EE around 7:30 and I would say there was only 15 people in there. The person at the door did ask if we have a reservation and he had a list but said come on in.

If anyone is a Harry Potter fan you really should plan to ride Gringotts. It's amazing. If you have plans to do EE get up an hour earlier and go to DA. Then head over to Hogsmeade and ride FJ.

Also the Diagon Alley section looks amazing plus the dragon was my favorite be watchful I'm also thinking some of HHN will take part there
