Here at BCV!

Well, we have been in a dedicated two bedroom at BCV since Sunday. Everything has been great. No issues with the room, except the light switches don't seem to have any ryhme or reason.

The crowds are a little heavier than I had anticipated, but the lines don't seem to be very long.

Crowds are cause of the Daytona 500 and *believe it or not* the beginning of spring break!
Have you stepped into a pool yet? I'm a Floridian so it seems waaayyy to cold to be dipping a toe in the pool!

I'm glad you're enjoying BCV. I do have one question-what flavors of gelato do they have in the BC Marketplace? When I was there in January, they'd discontinued pistachio and replaced it with some nut flavor (can't remember the exact name). Hope springs eternal for me that some day they'll bring back the pistachio flavor. If not, at least don't let them discontinue Mango also! So what's there now? And also in the BC Marketplace, do they have any of those coffee cups with the design from the print we got? They sold out in January, so I missed them! Thanks-have fun!

Simba's Mom, While staying at VWL last week, we made a quick trip over to BWV/BCV. I noticed that the gelato flavors had changed. I know they had mango, chocolate, & caramel. I also remember the nut flavor which I think was almond nut???? And I believe they had a bright pink--raspberry perhaps??? Also, just as DH and the only thing he remembers is that they don't have his favorite anymore--vanilla!!!

Chocolate is my favorite but I would have liked to try the caramel if I wasn't so full from our dinner at Trail's End Buffet.

I will be staying at BCV in March so I'm sure I'll try out several flavors then.

Yep - you got it. The pink was rasberry. We were there this past weekend and made a trip for it, also. I think they called the almond "roasted" or "toasted" almond. That's the flavor that I got... it was pretty good, but I like the pistachio, better.

I asked the guy behind the counter about the pistachio, and he said you could get it in EPCOT. He "thinks" it's in a cart somewhere in World Showcase... maybe Italy?

The pullout we have is still the old style. My MIL is sleeping on it and she says it is fine if you sleep in the middle it is fine.

I haven't gone into SAB yet, but the DVC pool is okay temp. I don't want to swim, but my boys have gone in several afternoons. The hot tub is fabulous!

Ran by the Contemporary and there doesn't seem to be anything new going on. Just the same stuff that we have already seen. I stopped by the DVC kiosk and they are actively pushing AKL now. I asked about buying additional SSR points and wondered if I would get last years points as well. He said he didn't think they had enough points left to continue matching points. hmmm...

I didn't see any Pistachio Gelato, unfortunately. They had chocolate, caramel, raspberry and almond nut. Like another poster said, you can get pistachio at the cart in Italy.

Hope that helps. We are having a great time. Went to the P&P party last night. The whole party was great, except they delayed the second parade b/c of the light rain, and we finally had to call it. No biggie. I think I might try to get party tickets for another night while I am here.

Just back from BCV here - pool temp was probably low 80's as I was able to get in with no problem. Anything under 80 degrees is too cool for me. Of course, the air temp was cooler than the water so that helped make the water feel warmer!

I thought there were low to moderate crowds. I really didn't have to wait for any rides and used Fast Pass for only Soarin' and Buzz. Didn't do EE this trip and used Singles Line at Test Track(absolutely no waiting there). The longest line of my trip was the security line at MCO - but that's a whole other story!

They put a new sleeper sofa in our studio while we were there - it's room 544.
Excellent view of Illuminations fireworks and studio was plenty clean. Be forewarned - the mattress on the new sofa looked nice and thick, but the cushions for the sofa are rock-hard. I like my furniture squishy and this was like sitting on a rock. Didn't sleep on the mattress but sure hope it's more comfy than the seat cushions.

How were the King/Queen bed mattresses? We returned on 1/26 from a 1BR both the King bed & the sleeper sofa were awful!

Shovan - I thought the queen bed in my studio was plenty comfy, but my DH wasn't as thrilled as I was. Whenever I can sleep without low back stiffness in the AM, I think the mattress is just fine - and I didn't get any stiffness. I don't think the bed was quite as comfy as the studio I stayed in at BWV in May. Now THAT was a heavenly bed!
