HERE and ticket upgrade question

I have a friend currently at WDW. They have an 8 day ticket and will be checking out of their current resort (with a package) on Wednesday. They have decided to extend their stay because it is COLD at home and they want to miss the ice/snow storm coming in. They want to add 1 day of parks.

They have currently added a room-only reservation for Wed and Thurs night. Am I correct that TOMORROW, they can go to the ticket counter and upgrade from their 8 day ticket to a 9 day ticket for appox $10 per person???

Yes. $10.65, with tax, per ticket, per day.

AND, since they have WDW "package" tickets, they actually can even upgrade after
they have used up all of the "days" on their current tickets.

But, to save any confusion, they can upgrade tonight, tomorrow or Wednesday.
