Herbie Anywhere?

Since the movie last summer, my DS (5) is an absolute Herbie the Love Bug freak! I even had to paint his bedroom with red, white and blue stripes and a big 53 on the wall. We are going to be back in May - our first trip since the craze hit - and I wondered if I can find Herbie anywhere. The Dis is the best source, so let me know if you have seen him!!

Herbie makes an appearance during the Lights! Motors! Action! car stunt show at MGM.

In December we saw Herbie in MGM when we were on our way out of the Lights Motors Action show (he was also a small part of the show). I got a picture of DS and DD with Herbie. I don't know if he's still there, but you could certainly ask a CM at MGM.

He was still there last month. My DS (5) also loves Herbie, he was so excited to see him! However, he got upset during the Lights Motor Action show because Herbie splits in half and he thought Herbie was broken. We kept having to tell him that Disney will fix Herbie, he'll be okay

This is really cute. Where are you staying? I would consider staying here and requesting a room in the Love Bug section!

We've stayed at the AS Movies and at Pop because of the movie icons -- and the kids loved it!

Thanks everyone! The Lights Motor Action stage was under construction on our last trip, so it was already at the top of things to do on this trip. LMA with non-stop stunts on wheels is just his cup of tea! Now, it's moved up to the number one slot! He is a huge fan of the "Lenny Da Jones" stunt show too because of the cars and airplane.

We saw Herbie outside of the stunt show right behind the Herbie snack stand. He was roped off so you couldn't touch him. Sometimes he wasn't there, I don't know if he's only there a couple days a week, or a certain time of the day. We were there in mid-Jan.

My son is sooo into Herbie too. We found a Herbie cake at Walmart. You might try that. Also Johnny Lightning (like Hot Wheels) made some Herbie cars. You might try a search for that...

We did a modified Herbie/Nascar theme for my DS birthday. Lots of the Nascar and racing checkered flag stuff, along with the red white and blue stripes and streamers. We saw some plain round pinatas that I was gonna paint a 53 on, but I never got around to it. You could also get some white balloons and write 53 on them with black marker. Good luck in your search!
