A good friend is about to take off to WDW for a late April trip. She's never been so I'm spending tons of time helping her get ready - it's a blast for me - especially since she has a 5 year old girl who wants to meet characters and my kids don't do character lines. Plus they are 15 and 11 now. Woot! I get to plan for princess meetings! :cool1:

Priorities are the Frozen princesses (I know...more on that in a second) and Mike and Sully. I find that a charming and interesting combo.

I've warned her mom that she should prepare her daughter for a 4-5 hour wait for Elsa and Anna (there are ways to try to make it shorter but from what I've read on these forums, you should prepare that it will be long and hope for shorter) and find out if that's something that's worth it to her daughter. I will try to gather all the Frozen advice I can. On one of their days, there's a 10:45 Akershus ressie they could get - so she'd meet princesses there and then if they want to wait in line for a few hours to see Anna and Elsa they could.

I've also pulled down the 2 day character-centric touring plans from Josh's EasyWDw (yea, Josh!) for her to show her daughter b/c that's a good way to meet some princesses.

Here's my big question - are Mike and Sully just at Hollywood Studios? And if so, what's the best way to figure out the best time to meet them. Will that be a long wait?

Thanks for helping me help out this little kiddo who's excited to be going to WDW for the first time!

How fun for you to help out in the planning! Well My daughter was 4 when we went in November and she also loves Sully and Mike! There is of course the actual laugh floor which is so much fun. (they put my daughter on the big screen as "boo")

I have only seen the characters at Hollywood studios although I might have just missed them some other place. Again when we were their in October/November we just happened upon them and there was very little wait.

I think it is a timing thing. We walked by early in the day and it was a big line and then we came back later and it was about a 10 minute wait.

Frozen characters were not there yet so I have zero advice on that but I also hear it is a long wait.

Hope you get some more detailed advice!princess:

Mike and Sulley are in the Backlot area:
per Kenny the Pirate:

10:00 AM - 02:30 PM
03:40 PM - 05:00 PM

Is it just your friend and her daughter? If there are 2 adults, I believe I've read that one can stand in the long line to see Anna and Elsa and then the rest can join once close to the front. Not fun for the person standing in line, but I'd do it for the little people in my life.

there will be two adults, but the other child is a 6 month old baby...but I will mention that to her - thanks!
