Have a friend who is thinking of going to disneyworld next year. She asked me my thoughts on hotels and I started to tell her. She said she was overwhelmed so I told her to order a planning DVD and quit talking so I didn't over do it.

She will have a two year old boy and a four year old girl with her and her husband.

What advice would you give a newbie so they aren't overwhelmed now but they don't drown when they get down there?

She's never been and she knows nothing.

TIA

This is a great site that doesn't seem too overwhelming. He has the same info and data as Josh @ easywdw:

Thank you. I will give her the link. I'm really hoping not to overwhelm her but I want her to know about the dining and FP+ but I am horrible at explaining things lol.

Most important thing I would say is to make sure they go down with some type of touring plan, even if they won't strictly adhere to it, you gotta have some things ready in advance.

Thanks I will definitely make sure she knows that and give her easyWDW site for the crowd calendar. The hardest part is she doesn't know when just that he wants to go. If I could get the when I could help a lot more unless she picks summer. Than I'm out haha

Just for the heck of it, give her the allears.net web site as well.

There is also a new guidebook out, written by Josh from easywdw and the guy from your first visit (Sorry, his name escapes me) If you look on Josh's sie, he has info on the book.
