Helpful Information For You Updated 03/30/2012

We are hoping to go to Grills for breakfast on the day we join the Magic - has anyone ever done this and do you know what time they open for breakfast. Thanks.

wanted to remind anyone that would be here this weekend that this is what is going on - I have been watching for the past 2 days as everything was being put together - I can see the Ferris wheel from here and boy oh boy, looks like a lot for family fun or couple fun or what ever ;-)

Our Saviour Catholic Church is having a huge Spring Fling with rides, games and food so just thought if you are around on May 03, 04 or the 5th, you may want to take the family for a time of fun. Its for the public.
Address is 5301 North Atlantic Avenue, Cocoa Beach
ENJOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This should help you out: http://www.visitgrills.com/ I never ate breakfast at Grills, but we did eat dinner at Grills several times and had good food and good service each time.

Shirley, we've been back from the cruise a week and I think I'm just about to get back into the swing of things around here. I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for this most excellent thread. We learned so very much on it and everything we learned helped make the cruise experience sooo much better. Thanks!

Shirley - thanks for all of the awesome info you have posted here! I have a question for you. We are sailing on the May 25th Wonder and will be staying at the Radisson the night before. Is there any place that serves stone crab around there and will they still be in season that late in May?? I love stone crab and have eaten them several times in Miami but I can't remember when the season ends. Thanks in advance.

Being born and raised in Key West, stone crabs were part of our everyday staple food, but since they have been almost over harvest in the keys and now on a seasonal time, I know I can not find them in Key West so even being up here, I do not know of any place that offers stone crab - believe I would be there in a second. I can going to check around and see if I missed something and if so, will post and let you know.

Hello everyone,
I wanted to share this news with my disboard family so that you will keep Norm and I in your prayers.
As I have mentioned previously, that Norm and I were leaving for Key West this coming Friday - those that are having gift baskets made and to be delivered on Sunday, everything is being taken care of as far as deliveries and they will be in your rooms Sunday and if you have any problem, call housekeeping and they will take care of any problems.
Now Norm lost his only sister yesterday afternoon and of course our plans in going down was to visit with his sister and go to our niece's wedding so it appears, we will be doing a funeral and a wedding this weekend. I know that I promised to send out at least 10 packets of Key West information, but what I am going to do is bring all the stuff up here and mail it from Cape Canaveral.
I know some are going to KW during the first part of June and the packets most likely won't reach you and for this I apologize but know you will understand the heartache we are going through. Phyllis had a great life but Norm will miss his sister and the fact that only he is the last of the list. We will be leaving here early Friday morning so will chat with you when we get back.
Life is so fully of mysteries, but one thing is certain, its not forever so that is why it is so important to do everything good that you can and have no regrets to carry into the golden age.
Blessings always from us and much love
Shirley and Norm

Good morning everyone and hope all is enjoying their holiday yet keeping a prayers for the reason of Memorial Day.

Anyhow Norm and I are back a few days early for a number of reasons but we are home safe and sound. The trip back home was very saddening for a number of reasons - one of going to say goodbye to Norm's sister and the second that our little hometown of Key West was no longer the paradise we once grew up in. Key West has changed so drastic that both Norm and I were in disbelief as to what once was a town with a lot of respect and love for one another has become a place where all morals and respect just doesn't exist. Anyhow I just wanted the folks who asked for their materials on Key West that I do have some and will get it out this week to you.

Shirley and Norm

Sorry to hear of your loss....you and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Shirley, I am so sorry for the loss of your husband's sister. Having 2 of my own, I cannot imagine the sadness.

I am also sad at what has happened to your home town. I saw what you are speaking of when visiting back in the late 80's, or at least a forecast of things to come. Key West is a beautiful island. My prayers are with you. :worried:

Thank you for all that you do for us on the Dis.
