Hi Shirley,
Do you know if IDS is air conditioned? I would like to ship 10 votive candles (fish extender gifts) but don't want them to melt in the July Florida heat. Also, would their scent signal the dogs, do you think? Maybe I should call Dave? I would hate to have the box rejected because someone thought it was food.

It is NOT air conditioned and couldn't be if they tried sweetie so you better not ship the candles if you want them to look right and not all melted around the wick - during the summer it is very warm in there although they do have fans all around, but you do not want to take that chance.

Good morning everybody and welcome to another day in Paradise ;-)
Just wanted to share some news with you - our shop was asked to be in a "photo shoot" for the Port Canaveral magazine - it really was fun for Norm - it was arranged that the pictures would be taken in front of the Wonder, but as it turned out the shoot was cancelled and taken on Friday in front of the RCCL Sovereign of the Seas. Norm already has a great devilish smile but on Friday, I am sure he beamed - He was so excited, I can only imagine if Hollywood called .
Anyhow everyone stay warm or cool - we have an Atlas launch this afternoon between 4:12 and 5:12PM - its going to be pretty.

It is nicer than expected - folks up North would think that we are having a heat wave - BUT it is cood enough to wear a light sweater - you most likely would be in shorts and tank top ;-)

Be aware that IF you get a ticket for ANYTHING, but especially speeding and pay your ticket with a CC/debit card, you will be charged an extra charge of about $2.50 and more for using your card so it appears don't get a ticket by following the marked signs and remember Hwy 528 is patrol by marked and UNMARKED cars BIG TIME.

UPDATE 04/21/2008
I spoke to the GM at Grill's about the guest receiving their 10% discount since I had heard they were no longer offering it, but I was told yesterday THAT IF YOU SHOW YOUR HOTEL KEY, YOU WILL GET THE DISCOUNT. Out of State Driver's Licenses are no longer acceptable - there isn't even a "local's discount", but at least you will get yours - if you have any problems OR questions, ask to speak to Howard who is the GM.

About what time should we plan on arriving at Grills so that we can get a good table to watch the ship leave? Should we request a table in a certain area or do all the seats have a view? Hello Heather,
Norm and I went Sunday to Grill's and it was great, but very crowded only due to the fact that there was about 100 motorcycles there (maybe a special event, I don't know) so we had to sit inside, but still had a great view of the channel and the ships leaving - I would ask for seating in the glass encased patio if you have a problem with getting overheated - I would try to get there at least no later than 4PM and if you call 1/2 hour before you get there, they will put you on their guest list which will make the waiting shorter.
I did find that it took FOREVER to get our drinks AND food, but again it was crowded so I have to give lee way for that. Fishlips has a double decker place so you can sit up top and have an open view without any glass or screens. As for the food at Grill's, I found it to be excellent although the conch fritters had very very little conch in it - the conch must have walked over the batter, everything else was what we expected.
NOW REMEMBER THESE ARE ONLY MY THOUGHTS AND IMPRESSIONS OK?
