Hi,
My trip will be early Dec. My dd is 4.5 & DS is 2.5. We have a rubber wheel double stroller. It's light weight and very easy to push the stroller around. The width fits to all doors.

The concern is I am in Canada. I will have to fly to Orlando other than driving. My double stroller will have to be checked as a luggage. My concern is will the stroller being damaged during the transportation?

The double stroller size is like this

Some friends suggested to bring two single strollers other than the large double stroller. Do you think the idea is better?

If someone had the experience flew to Orlando airport, can you bring the single stroller to the gate for the size like this?

Or do you think it's better to just rent a double stroller?

Many thanks!!

Rent definitely. We rented first day the previous 2 trips. Loved it. I watch parents struggle with strollers on buses and am so glad we didn't go thru that. Also, strollers take up so much room on buses especially late night and early morning when the buses are jammed. It really is a bummer to get crowded in by a stroller while standing on a crowded bus.

We rented a double Mini City Jogger from Orlando Stroller Co. and were VERY pleased with it!! It rolls easily and was very good for the kids! It was about half the price of renting from one of the parks. PLUS you can bring it right to your hotel room instead of having to lug tired kids back to the hotel on your own.

The last time we flew I had DS 1 and DS2, we took our double stroller (it's the time where there is a seat in the front and one behind-not a side by side) onto the airplane. It was very helpful to have while at the airport. We simply rolled the boys up to the point where we got on the plane and left the stroller there, when we arrived in Orlando our stroller was right by the exit waiting for us.

We like the double stroller b/c if one of us took our older son to the restroom, on a ride, etc-then there is a just one stroller to push. We also liked having our own stroller for again the airport, back and forth from the bus to our room, around the resort area, from the parking lots, to the monorail-you get the idea.

I agree the strollers take up a lot of room on the buses-my DH is kind of a He-Man so he was able to keep it under control and out of the way as much as possible for the safety and comfort of everyone on the bus.

Good luck and have fun!

Thank you Rekenna,

So you had no issue to give the double stroller to the flight attendants at gate?

This is the concern that I have. The web site has the size of the stroller that allowed at gate is very small.

Thank you,

S
