I did great with my first week of Weight Watchers, but was disappointed to only have lost 2 lbs. when I weighed in Wed. night. (I lost 4 lbs. in my first week the last time I did the program.) I came home feeling discouraged and now I am really having trouble not snacking, eating my veggies, drinking water, etc...My sister is my usual 'support' system for this, but she is an RN and will work 12 hour shifts all weekend. (no way am I bugging her in the ICU for this type of 'crisis.') I guess I'm in need of some encouragement. In my head, I know snacking will make my next weigh-in even more disappointing, but tell that to the rest of my body that is just sure it needs chocolate.:crazy:

I'm confused, do you want to snack or not? I think you should snack if your body wants food. I find that if I don't snack, I end up on a binge. I do best when I eat a bunch of small meals rather than three large ones and no snacks. In general, when I'm doing well on WW, I eat 3 pts for breakfast, 4 pts for lunch, 6-8 pts for dinner, and 5-9 points for 1-2 point snacks throughout the day. I do even better if I have a 4 point mid afternoon meal and a 4 point dinner.

Things that kill chocolate cravings for me are ww Giant Fudge bars (1 pt), ww sundae cups (2 pts), ww chocolate mousse bars (1 pt). 1 Reeses cup is 2 points.

Good luck!

The problem is, once I start snacking I don't stop. That's a lot of why I have a weight problem anyway, or so we've been discussing at WW mtgs. (well, that and having 4 kids in 7 years). I haven't tried any of the WW 2 pt. bars yet-I do buy the little 1 pt. minis at Wal-Mart. I tried not to buy any over the past week, thinking I could make up my own snacks for less $$. (and maybe that's true, but not for less points) I went and bought more last night. I'm doing much better today. Thanks for replying. I haven't felt very welcome here on the WISH boards.

Ok..I know exactly where you are coming from. My last go around at WW I lost 5 pounds my first week. this time around I lost 2.6...I was a little discourages until I thought about the fact that i had already lost some weight so it was going to come off slower then first time. (I lost 45, gained back 15) I am down 5.6 after 2 weeks.

I am not giving in to my little voices saying to eat things...I'm staying strong! I know I can do it and so can you! When you want to snack get up and take a walk, or do anything to take your mind off food. When I feel an attack of the munchies coming on I try to do anything that keeps my hands busy. Take up knitting or needlework of some kind...you can't eat while doing those things.

Hi

I agree with Nancy.......keep your hands busy. Today and yesterday I did not have a good point counting day plus have been light on the water intake. I am having an attack of the munchies as we speak even though I am done eating for the night.

So here I am trying to keep my hands busy.:bounce: :bounce:

You CAN DO IT!! ::yes:: ::yes:: We are all here for you

Have a Disney Day!!::MickeyMo

Thanks Nancy and chrissmiss-
I've taken to cleaning when I feel like eating. With four kids there's always something that needs it. Hopefully in a few months I will have lost some weight and have a spotless house. (well, I'd settle for picked-up house) I'm feeling a bit more encouraged today.

I too am on WW and this weekend was a HORRIBLE point weekend...Just remember today is a new day........I once had someone tell me "Life is hard, yard by yard, but inch by inch its a cinch." I try to apply that to my weightloss. I havent even set a goal yet besides my next 5 lbs. 5 lbs at a time is my goal. And most of the time it takes me a month or so but its coming off. Best of luck to you and If you need someone to talk to , feel free to email me.
