Help!

I need some 'bearings'. We are staying at the Dolphin next trip and I have never been to that area of the parks really. How close to the Swan is it...How close to the Boardwalk? I get the feeling these are all close, but I don't know how close. Thanks for any tips

They are very close. You can easily walk from one to the other.
The hotels all circle bay lake which has a nice walkway around it with bridges over the canals.

The swan and the dolphin share a boat dock to MGM and EPCOT.

It's a great area to stay. The Fantasia Mini-golf is right across the street from the Swan and Dolphin.

The Dolphin is right next door to the Swan. Out by the boat dock, you can walk between the two in about two minutes. The Boardwalk is just over a short bridge - you'll be right by Atlantic Dance when you cross. Keep going and you'll eventually hit Epcot's World Showcase entrance - about a 15-20 minute walk. Go the other way and you can walk to MGM in about 10 minutes or go across the lake and visit the Yacht and Beach Clubs. We're Vacation Club owners at the Boardwalk Villas and it's definitely our favorite area to stay. Within walking distance (or a boat ride) to two parks and all the amenities of the Boardwalk right outside the door!
