We need help from you experts.

We are contemplating buying at VB as we are unable to purchase at the BCV due to Calif. rules. We are wondering if we will ever get in the WDW resort locations with the 5 month booking window. We may go to VB once in a while, but WDW is our main focus for the kids. We understand the season is a factor and we likely would go in the summer time the next few years.

Any advise would be great. Special deal ends Saturday, so we need advise asap.

Thanks to all!

Have you checked for a resale at either Okw/BWV or Wlv? It's getting pretty tough to get resvs. at the 7 month window. I would definitely buy where you want to stay.

I would not do it if my primary goal was to stay onsite. Dues are higher also. I would look into resale. Is there any chance you will make a trip soon so you can purchase if you want to go through disney?

Agreed, I would not buy at VB with the idea of staying mostly at WDW.

I am not aware of any Calif. restrictions to buy at the BCV's. Can you inform me?

Jillpie,
Sales informed due to BCV being new, we can't purchase unless at WDW. Unsure how long the restriction lasts.

Other than this website (Timeshare Store), any ideas on resale options.

Thanks to all who have responded so far.

hi: you might just have to wait until california says ok on the bcv sales. it does take a different amount of time before each state okays sales for timeshares. you may want to check with a guide.

Hi

Whats this California thing? - I'm a Californian looking into buying at DVC and I've talked to DVC directly twice and nothing about not being able to purchase at BCV was ever mentioned.

Can someone enlighten me on this?

Thanks

I'm in California also and was told that we could not buy at BCV yet. I got the impression that they are processing paper work to meet California requirements, but it wasn't finished yet. About two weeks ago I was told by our guide (Betty) that around 340 points were available for sale via Disney direct at WLV, (for California residents). But these points may or may not be available now. We are purchasing a small point contract at WLV via resale at the Timeshare Store, made offer on October 20th, accepted the next day by the seller, sent deposit on 25th and are waiting to hear from the Closing Services. Since we want to be on Disney property (at least most of the time) we decided against Vero. We are only 1 1/2 hours from Disneyland, to bad the Grand California Hotel eats up so many points (27 to 31 points) otherwise we might use that option once in awhile. If interested you might ask about the 340 points at WLV to see if they are still available. Good Luck. Warm Regards

Does this mean I cannot buy direct from DVC via phone/mail but I can buy if I'm physically in WDW and process the paperwork there?

Thanks again all

Yes..... You can buy in person, just not over the phone...

As for other resale brokers... We have used Jaki at www.atimeshare.com twice and love her.... I would give her a call, as many sweet deal resales never make it to her website. :teeth:

You are definitely NOT limited when you buy a resale. Call the Brokers and let them know what you are looking for....something will come along at the resort you prefer.

Best of luck!
