Does anyone know of a company that will be able to get us from the UK to WDW staying onsite for under £7000?

Tartan Tigger got me a quote from Virgin for 2 rooms at the All Stars for 2 weeks for £6672.70. That is the best we have got so far............

Can you give any more details?

How many adults / children (including ages)?
When do you want to go?
How long do you want to stay?
Do you want WDW passes included?

There will be two adults, three children (14, 10 and 6)
We want to go on June 30th 2003.
We want to stay for 2 weeks and we want unlimited passes for Disney.(If we can stay in a Disney resort).

The rooms at POR have a trundle bed so you can get 5 to a room - if your kids are OK sharing etc.

If you are staying on property for 2 weeks it is cheaper to get an annual pass. You can then book direct with Disney or through an agent like DreamsUnlimited and get the annual pass discounts - these can be as much as 30-40%.

Rate for this June was $70 for All Stars. So 2 rooms for 14 nights would be £1350 ($1.48/£).
APs are $354.04 Adult and $301.04 child (Disney Club rates), so for 4 adults and 1 child that would be £1160
Virgin flights from Gatwick from Expedia are: £2616.50 for 4 adults and 1 child for next June.

Total Cost: £5126.50

Is that a bit better?

Thanks for that Goofyish.I know thw PO takes 5 but none of the websites or travel agents can get 5 into their system for a quote. We stayed there 2 years ago.Tartan Tigger went onto Bon-voyage.co.uk and we got a hotel at Lake Buena Vista for £686.00 for the 5 of us (kids are free) the flights from Gatwick are £1,911.00 for all 5 all we need now is passes and insurance. The grand total so far is.....................................£2,597.00!!!!!

That's a pretty amazing difference and a great saving.

We've booked with Virgin through the TV Travel Shop (Sky channel) and I was going to suggest you call them as they saved us a fair bit.

SIMPLE ADVICE.

RENT A VILLA, 2 TO SIX BEDROOMS

I rent one every year, its far more cheaper than most hotels. More space, your own pool!!!. Look in the national press, ask for pictures and details. There are hundreds available

I rented a 3 bed villa last year in Kissimmee for 350 pounds aweek. Share that cost between the adults in the party. Very cheap indeed.

All you need then are flights. Virgin to flights from #359 each.

Hire your car/cars from hertz at around 120 to 200 per week including insurances etc.

Dont do package deals, too expensive

Thanks for all the advice you've been great!!I will keep trying as I am determined I am going.I will keep you up dated!!!

Latest update on Bouncy's drama is :

As of last night (Wed 4th) she is now looking at the possibilty of going to a villa. She got a quote from Travel Agents for villa and flights which she was happy with. The Travel agent is going to try and find a cheaper villa so nothing signed to as yet.

All this so she can go at the same time as me, eh Judith;) :D :D :D
